Pizi
Pizi is a mobile app from French e-commerce publisher WiziShop that turns a single product photo into a complete listing, with name, hook, description and SEO tags, in under 45 seconds and in ten languages.
What is Pizi?
Pizi is an AI application that turns a product photograph into a ready-to-publish e-commerce listing. It is published by WiziShop, a French SaaS e-commerce company founded in Nice in 2008, and was launched in 2024. The principle is deliberately narrow: photograph an item with your phone, and the model returns a product name, a marketing hook, a detailed description and the SEO tags Google reads, the title and the meta description, along with a retouched version of the picture. The publisher claims a listing takes under 45 seconds, against an average of one hour and twenty minutes written by hand.
Three channels serve three catalogue sizes. The mobile app, on iOS and Android, is the entry point: sign in with a WiziShop, Apple or Google account, shoot the product, then export the result to WiziShop in one click, or to Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop. The bulk CSV service takes a file containing at least one photograph per product and returns an enriched CSV in under 24 hours, more than 1,000 descriptions at a time. The REST API accepts a POST /product call with an image URL, a locale, a product context and a shop context, authenticated by a Basic token; packs run from 100 to 50,000 products, credits stay valid for twelve months, and the key is issued within 48 hours. A bespoke model reproducing a brand's own structure and style is offered at 500 EUR, deployed within seven days.
Generation covers ten locales: French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese and Russian. The app interface itself is available in French and English. The terms of service state that the tool is intended for professional e-commerce merchants.
WiziShop positions Pizi as an e-commerce-specialised AI serving a claimed 350,000 entrepreneurs, and displays two 2024 awards, an innovation prize and a product information prize. Measurable traction is more modest: over 5,000 Google Play downloads and ten App Store ratings averaging 4.6. Watch retailer Ocarat reports adding around 1,000 references a month through the API.
What it does
- Generate a complete product listing from a single photograph
- Write the product name, the marketing hook, the detailed description and the SEO title and meta description
- Produce the same listing in ten languages
- Retouch the product photograph inside the app
- Export the finished listing to WiziShop, Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop
- Process an entire catalogue through the bulk CSV service, over 1,000 descriptions in less than 24 hours
- Automate generation through the REST API, with a POST /product call carrying the image URL, locale, product context and shop context
When to use Pizi / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Pizi is the right fit.
When to use Pizi
- Professional e-commerce merchants who add new references regularly and write their own product listings
- WiziShop store owners, for whom the app is free and exports to the back office in one click
- Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop sellers looking to speed up catalogue creation
- Large-catalogue retailers who need volume: the CSV service returns more than 1,000 descriptions in under 24 hours
- Marketplaces and software vendors that want to automate listing generation through the REST API
When not to use Pizi
- Anyone working outside e-commerce, since the tool only ever produces product listings
- Products with no usable photograph, because the picture is the mandatory input
- Teams that want a desktop web editor, as listings are created in the mobile app from a phone photo
- Writers of long-form editorial content, blog articles or brand storytelling, all outside the tool's scope
- Buyers who need a signed data processing agreement or a contractual hosting commitment, neither of which is published
How to use Pizi
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Download the Pizi app from the App Store or Google Play
- Sign in with a WiziShop, Apple or Google account
- Photograph the product with your phone
- Pick the generation language from the ten available
- Let the AI write the listing, claimed in under 45 seconds
- Reread the text and adapt it to your store's tone of voice
- Export the listing to WiziShop in one click, or to Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop
- For a whole catalogue, send a CSV file holding at least one photograph per product, plus names and attributes when you have them, and receive the enriched file within 24 hours
- For automation, order an API pack of 100 to 50,000 products and receive your key within 48 hours
- Call POST /product with image_url, locale, product_context and shop_context, an Authorization: Basic TOKEN header and a JSON body
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Minimal input: one photograph is enough, with nothing to type beforehand
- Speed claimed at under 45 seconds per listing, against one hour twenty written by hand
- Output is complete and publishable as it stands: name, hook, description and SEO tags
- Free for WiziShop customers, and a free trial of up to ten listings for everyone else
- Three access modes for three catalogue sizes: mobile app, bulk CSV and API
- Ten generation languages, useful for selling across borders
- Degressive API pricing, from 1.99 EUR down to 0.80 EUR excluding tax per product
Cons
- Narrow scope: the tool writes e-commerce product listings and nothing else
- Creation is tied to the mobile app, with no documented web interface for producing listings
- Generated copy still has to be reread and adapted to the store's tone, as the publisher's own customer testimonial concedes
- Very thin privacy documentation: no retention period, no effective date, no processor list and no data processing agreement
- Nothing published on where Pizi's data is hosted, nor on which AI model powers the tool
- Google Play's publisher declaration states that collected data is not encrypted in transit
- An ecosystem tilted towards WiziShop, and a thin website: the app's prices appear only on the App Store and Google Play, never on pizi.app
Pricing & Plans
A free tier exists. The application is free for customers of the WiziShop e-commerce solution, and any other user may try it on up to ten product listings at no cost. Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Pizi handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR is addressed, but briefly. The page titled Legal notice is in fact the privacy policy: it cites the Regulation by name and lists six rights, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, with a commitment to let users exercise them from the app settings or by writing to pizi@wizishop.com. Collection is described as limited to an email address and an online store name, for account creation, support, usage analysis and campaign measurement. The policy names Google Analytics 4, Hotjar and Google, Meta and TikTok advertising scripts as third-party tools, while stating that Pizi shares no personal data with third parties. Parent company WiziShop declares CNIL registration no. 1380010. Several standard elements are missing: no effective date, no named DPO, no retention period, no processor list, no data processing agreement.
Who owns the data?
Ownership is split, and the terms say so plainly. You keep every right you already hold in the photographs you upload; by uploading them you grant the publisher the right to use those images to create product listings. The listings generated for you may then be used commercially on your store, provided you genuinely hold the rights to the source photographs, which you are asked to warrant. The application itself, its texts, graphics and logos, remains WiziShop's property. On the personal-data side, collection is limited to an email address and an online store name, and both the privacy notice and the Google Play publisher declaration state that no personal data is shared with third parties.
Reuse rights
The end user may reuse the generated content without asking any further permission: the terms allow the listings produced by Pizi to be used for commercial purposes on the merchant's store, the single condition being that the user holds the rights to the original photographs. Nothing restricts that reuse to one channel. Listings are built to be exported to WiziShop in one click and to Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop; the bulk service returns an enriched CSV file described as ready for immediate use on the merchant's e-commerce platform; and the API returns the hook, the detailed description and the SEO title and meta description for direct integration. Responsibility travels with that freedom: the terms state that you must ensure the generated listings are accurate and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Pizi publishes almost nothing about where its data lives. The privacy notice says only that the service uses secure servers and employs secure server technologies: no country, no region, no named provider, and no mention of any transfer outside the European Union. The publisher is established in Nice, France, and the terms designate the Nice commercial court as the competent jurisdiction, which anchors the contract in French law but says nothing about hosting. Two France-related statements do exist, and both belong to the parent company rather than to Pizi: WiziShop's legal notice names OVH SAS in France as the host of wizishop.fr, and its about page claims that merchant data is hosted in France. Neither statement covers the Pizi application. Google Play's publisher declaration adds that collected data is not encrypted in transit and that deletion can be requested. In the absence of any hosting declaration specific to Pizi, no hosting country or region is recorded here.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Pizi.
- Publishing without rereading: the publisher's own customer testimonial says the tone has to be adjusted, and unedited output quickly makes every listing on a store sound identical
- Legal responsibility sits with you: the terms require the merchant to check that generated listings are accurate and compliant, which covers product claims and any mandatory statement
- Image rights: you warrant that you hold the rights to every photograph you upload, and a supplier-supplied picture does not always grant them
- SEO duplication: mass-generated descriptions published unchecked can damage the ranking they were meant to improve
- Technical opacity: neither the AI model, nor the hosting country, nor any retention period is published, and Google Play's publisher declaration states that collected data is not encrypted in transit
- No data processing agreement and no subprocessor list are published, which makes it harder for a merchant to document its own GDPR processing chain
- Availability: no country or region is excluded anywhere on the site, so the tool is offered wherever the App Store and Google Play distribute it; read that as an absence of published restriction, not as a guarantee of coverage
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Difficulty depends on the channel. Through the app, there is none: download it, sign in with a WiziShop, Apple or Google account, and photograph the product. The bulk CSV route is no harder, since you send a file with at least one photograph per product and receive an enriched file back. The API is the only demanding path: a developer must call POST /product with a Basic token, and the documentation advises routing calls through a backend so the key is never exposed client-side. Integration support is offered, and the bespoke model is set up within seven days.

Should you pick Pizi?
Pizi does one job and does it fast: turning a product photograph into a publishable e-commerce listing, complete with name, hook, description and SEO tags. That focus is its main quality. There is nothing to configure and nothing to type first, and the three channels map neatly onto three catalogue sizes, the mobile app for a handful of items, the bulk CSV service for more than a thousand descriptions in under 24 hours, and the REST API for continuous automation. Pricing is legible on both sides, from 2.99 EUR a week to 99.99 EUR a year on the stores, and from 1.99 EUR down to 0.80 EUR excluding tax per product on the API packs, with a free trial of ten listings and free access for WiziShop customers. Backing from WiziShop, a French publisher operating since 2008 and displaying two 2024 awards, adds a measure of stability, though it also tilts the ecosystem towards the group's own platform.
The counterpart is documentation. The legal and technical paperwork is thin: no retention period, no data processing agreement, no processor list, no stated hosting country for Pizi itself, and no disclosure of the AI model behind the output. A merchant who has to document its own processing chain will need to ask WiziShop directly. And the copy, by the publisher's own customer testimonial, still needs rereading and adjusting to a brand's tone before it goes live. Treat Pizi as a fast first draft generator for product pages rather than a finished copywriter, and the arithmetic works, especially for a large catalogue that would otherwise never get written at all.
