Plannex is a visual operating system for client work. Agencies, freelancers and process-driven teams draw a project as connected nodes on a canvas, then run briefs, approvals, delivery and invoicing from that same blueprint.
What is Plannex?
Plannex is a web platform built around a visual canvas rather than a task list. Its core object is the blueprint: one project or repeatable process, such as a marketing campaign, a client onboarding or a bug-to-fix flow, laid out as nodes you drag, connect and fill with real work. Each node holds tasks, status, pins and feeds, files and links, and smart apps, so what you draw is the project itself rather than a diagram of it. The site credits Unreal Engine 5's Blueprints as its inspiration.
Between nodes you place logic. Gate nodes keep a phase closed until all, any, or X-of-Y connected nodes are finished. Approval nodes collect internal or client sign-off, each signature timestamped, attached to the exact deliverable and written to an audit trail. Delegation nodes point at another kanban board or another blueprint instance, and the child's progress reports back into the parent. The same nodes can be viewed as a kanban board without leaving the tool.
Facing outward, the Deliver hub publishes a branded, read-only client portal showing live progress, approvals waiting for signature, deliverables and reports. The internal canvas, node owners, comments and gates stay private. Insights reads the same canvas to surface schedule health, budget burn, approval velocity, revision rate and client signals across six health indicators, while an in-context chat sits on nodes and blueprints with node references and its own audit trail.
AI appears in two precise places rather than across the product: brief intake, where a pasted email becomes a structured blueprint with owners and deadlines, and Blueprint Sketch, where a rough drawing converts to a live blueprint in one click. Extensions round out the base. Kanban and Blueprint instances are stable, while CRM, Finance (invoicing from tracked time through Stripe) and Blueprint Sketch are labelled beta, with time tracking, resource planning and custom reports announced as coming. The claim repeated throughout is that everything is included in every paid plan, with no add-ons and no per-seat or per-storage surcharge. The product is web only, shows version v1.2.5, and offers no mobile app.

The lowest paid tier is Pro at USD 19.99 per month, followed by Agency at USD 49.99 per month and Unlimited at USD 119.99 per month; a Custom tier is quoted on request, with no public amount. Annual billing is advertised as "Save 17%", which the pricing FAQ describes as two months free. Plans can be upgraded, downgraded or cancelled at any time, with no commitment. The terms state that all payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated. No time-limited free trial is offered: the free entry point is the permanent Nomad plan.

GDPR overview
There is no GDPR implementation to report. Across every page collected, the words GDPR and data protection regulation do not appear once. No Article 27 EU representative is designated, no Data Protection Officer is named, no legal basis for processing is stated, no retention period is given and no international transfer mechanism is described. What the privacy policy does offer is a generic rights paragraph: "You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Just reach out to us at support@plannex.com." A privacy contact, privacy@plannex.com, is published, and both legal documents are dated 17/02/2026. The footer shows a DPA link, but it opens the contact form rather than an agreement. With no company name, address or stated jurisdiction, an EU buyer has nothing concrete to assess.
Who owns the data?
The terms draw a clear line. The platform itself, including its content and branding, belongs to Plannex, while you keep ownership of everything you create with it: blueprints, nodes, files and deliverables. The privacy policy states plainly that Plannex does not sell your data to third parties, and no other recipient or commercial reuse is named anywhere in the documents. Personal data can be accessed, corrected or deleted on request by emailing support@plannex.com. One gap deserves attention: neither document says what becomes of your content once an account is cancelled or terminated, and no export guarantee is offered on the way out.
Reuse rights
The privacy policy lists what is collected: your name, your email address, and usage data tied to blueprints, tasks and collaboration activity. That information is used solely to deliver the service, power real-time features such as live collaboration, and improve the experience. Cookies are described as minimal, covering authentication, session and remembering your privacy choices. If you arrive through a partner referral link, Plannex may ask to store a first-party referral cookie so the partner gets credit, and you can decline it without losing access. Nothing anywhere on the site mentions AI model training on customer content, in either direction. Because you retain ownership of what you create, you are free to reuse your own blueprints, exports and deliverables without asking permission. Material changes to the policy are announced by email or an in-app notice.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Plannex publishes a single sentence about hosting, in article 3 of its privacy policy: "All data is securely stored in Firebase Realtime Database. We take appropriate security measures to ensure your information is safe." That names a Google service and nothing more. No hosting country, no region, no data residency option, no standard contractual clauses and no international transfer mechanism appear anywhere on the site. There is no trust or security page either: the footer's Security link opens the contact form. The website itself resolves to 199.36.158.100, an address geolocated in the United States and operated by Fastly (AS54113, Mountain View), but that is an anycast content delivery node serving static files, not evidence of where customer data is stored. In practice, a buyer who has to state a processing location to their own clients will have to ask for it, because nothing published answers the question.
Things to keep in mind

- The publisher is anonymous. With no company name, address or jurisdiction published, you have no identified counterparty if the service changes hands, changes terms or simply disappears.
- No GDPR, Article 27 representative, DPO or legal basis for processing is mentioned anywhere, and no data processing agreement is published; the footer's DPA link only opens the contact form.
- No retention period is stated. You can request deletion by email, but nothing tells you how long your client work is kept, or what happens to it once an account ends.
- Only Firebase Realtime Database is named as storage, with no hosting country, no subprocessor list and no security certification, so you cannot tell your own clients where their material sits.
- Payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated, so treat every upgrade as a spend you cannot reverse; the permanent free plan exists precisely to avoid that.
- Support and privacy contacts sit on plannex.com while the site is plannex.io, and the canonical URL points at an unrelated product on plannex.app. Confirm you are writing to the right party before sending anything sensitive.
- Letting the AI intake turn a brief into a plan is convenient, but the generated owners and deadlines are still your commitments. Reading the result as a draft rather than a decision is what keeps the judgement yours.

Getting started is easy. You sign up on the web, with no credit card on Nomad, and there is nothing to install, deploy or configure on a server. Automations need no code: gates, approvals and webhooks are dropped visually between two nodes, and an import from Asana or Notion is advertised at around two minutes. The real effort is conceptual rather than technical, since the node-and-gate model differs from a conventional task list and takes a first project to absorb. Only the Finance extension, still in beta, adds an external step: connecting Stripe.

The idea it sells, drawing a project as connected nodes and letting that drawing be the project, holds together from brief intake through gates, approvals, kanban, the branded client portal and Insights. The commercial promise matches it: everything is included in every paid plan, with no add-ons and no per-seat surcharge. For an agency or a growing freelancer tired of stitching a task tracker, a chat thread and a file link together, that is the main draw, and the permanent Nomad plan makes the assessment cheap.
The main risk is not the product, it is the publisher. Nothing on the site identifies who runs Plannex: no legal entity, no postal address, no legal notice, no stated jurisdiction.
