What is PortXchange Synchronizer?

PortXchange Synchronizer is a centralised data exchange platform for the port call. It brings together the planning timestamps held by terminals, shipping lines, nautical service providers, port authorities and other maritime parties, so that everyone working on the same call reads the same picture instead of chasing one another by phone, email and fax. Technically, the system issues a port call ID and traces every new timestamp entry written to its database. Events are prioritised so as to give the most accurate start and end times for port calls, berth visits and service operations. Several APIs push real-time changes into the internal planning systems that stakeholders already run, and the information is stored so historical analyses can be performed on it. Access is through the shared digital platform or through those API links. The product grew out of Pronto, the collaborative vessel and terminal planning platform designed by the Port of Rotterdam.
