Postly
Postly pairs AI content creation with scheduling and publishing across 31 live channels: social networks, messaging apps, blogs, email tools and Bio Pages. It adds a built-in social CRM, analytics, a REST API and MCP tooling.
What is Postly?
Postly, built by Postly Technologies, Inc., is a social campaign platform that sets out to cover a whole publishing cycle rather than the scheduling step alone. Its own framing — Create. Distribute. Engage. Convert. — maps onto four stages: generating and rewriting content with AI, adapting it per destination and filling in the platform fields each network demands, previewing and approving it before it goes out at a performance-based recommended time, then reading back audience, engagement and link data.
What separates it from a plain scheduler is breadth of destination. Thirty-one connections are marked live: ten social networks (X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Threads), three messaging channels (Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp), five blog platforms (WordPress, Ghost, Hashnode, DEV.to, Blogger), five email tools (ActiveCampaign, Beehiiv, Brevo, Kit, Mailchimp) and Bio Pages. Publishing is native rather than lowest-common-denominator: first comments, Reels and Stories, multi-page Idea Pins, numbered threads, TikTok commercial-content disclosures, WordPress Gutenberg blocks and Telegram inline buttons are handled as platform-specific controls.
Automation sits alongside. Auto Post builds repeatable workflows from six kinds of source — an AI prompt, a YouTube video, an e-commerce store, an RSS feed, a blog URL or a document (CSV, Word, PDF, TXT, JSON) — and its e-commerce variant rotates catalogues from Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, Squarespace Commerce, Square or a plain product URL, with pinned priorities and cooldowns. Instagram Shop and TikTok Shop tagging are announced but still marked coming soon.
The engagement side is Postly CRM: a unified inbox for direct messages, comments and reviews, keyword and welcome automations for Facebook and Instagram, consent-based contact capture, custom pipelines and stages, first-response service levels, and social source and revenue attribution. Analytics adds period comparisons, executive summaries, weekly digests, natural-language questions and PDF or CSV exports.
For software and agents there is a REST publishing API with signed webhooks, OpenAPI support and API keys, plus MCP tooling that connects ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other compatible clients through an AI Agents dashboard. Organisations, unlimited workspaces, roles, approval queues and Team Notes structure team work, while enterprise governance adds verified domains, MFA policy, audit history, session revocation and paid SSO, SCIM and SIEM add-ons.
What it does
- Schedule and publish to 31 live destinations — social networks, messaging apps, blogs, email tools and Bio Pages — from one shared calendar
- Generate, rewrite and optimise copy with AI in the editor and Preview, or produce text, images and video in AI Studio
- Automate production with Auto Post from a prompt, a YouTube video, an RSS feed, an article URL, a product catalogue or a document
- Handle direct messages, comments and reviews in Postly CRM, capture contact details with consent and export qualified leads
- Publish in bulk from CSV files or Google Sheets, with image and video validation before anything goes out
- Measure visibility, audience, engagement and per-platform performance, then export to PDF or CSV
- Let AI agents or your own code drive publishing through MCP tooling and a REST API with signed webhooks
When to use Postly / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Postly is the right fit.
When to use Postly
- Agencies running several client accounts, who need one secure workspace per client with roles, approvals, notes and reporting rather than shared passwords
- Marketing teams that want social, messaging, blog, email and link-in-bio publishing consolidated into a single calendar instead of four separate tools
- Creators and founders publishing on their own, who lean on automation such as Auto Post, recurring schedules and AI Remix to keep output steady
- Developers and AI-agent builders, since the REST API, signed webhooks and MCP tooling are marked included in the paid plan rather than gated behind an enterprise tier
- Online stores and local businesses that want a product catalogue or a set of Google Business Profile locations turned into recurring campaigns
When not to use Postly
- Buyers whose procurement process demands formal certification: the trust page states plainly that no SOC 2 or ISO claim is made unless independently verified
- Organisations with a data residency requirement, as no hosting country or region is published and the privacy policy allows data to be hosted anywhere in the world
- Teams that need a named list of subprocessors or a documented way to keep their content out of model training, since neither is published
- Anyone under 13, who is explicitly outside the audience the service addresses
- Users expecting durable storage or prorated refunds: free and lifetime-deal accounts keep content for 30 days, subscribers for 24 months, and cancelling earns no refund
How to use Postly
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account in the Postly app, either on the free Starter plan or by opening the 7-day trial of Pro
- Set up an organisation, which carries your business entity name, then one workspace per brand, product or client
- Connect your channels through each platform's secure authorisation flow, granting every requested permission; each unique profile connection counts as one billed channel, while Facebook Pages attached to a connection do not
- Draft in the editor, use the built-in AI to generate or rewrite, and let it fill the platform titles and descriptions each network requires
- Check every destination in Preview, where per-platform optimisation and media validation happen
- Schedule as a one-off, as a recurring series with AI Remix refreshing future occurrences, in bulk from CSV or Google Sheets, or as an Auto Post workflow driven by a source
- Route the post through the approval queue, using roles, notes and the draft, review and scheduled states
- Work the replies in Postly CRM: answer messages, comments and reviews, capture contact details with consent, then export qualified leads
- Read the analytics, compare periods, export to PDF or CSV, and use the weekly digest to decide what to repeat
- For automation, generate an API key in the app and call the REST endpoints, subscribe to signed webhooks or connect an MCP client; reconnect social accounts periodically, since platform tokens expire
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Unusual channel breadth for the price: 31 live connections including five blog platforms and five email tools, which most schedulers do not touch
- API access and MCP for AI agents are marked included in the Pro plan rather than reserved for an enterprise tier
- Transparent, degressive per-channel pricing with a calculator on the pricing page: USD 3.20 per channel up to ten, USD 1.60 from eleven to a hundred, USD 0.80 beyond
- Native platform controls instead of generic posting — first comments, Reels and Stories, Idea Pins, numbered threads, Gutenberg blocks, Telegram inline buttons
- A social CRM that turns conversations into exportable qualified contacts with source and revenue attribution, not merely a shared inbox
- Unusual candour on the trust page: no SOC 2 or ISO claim without independent verification, no implied contractual SLA, and unknown service states never presented as healthy uptime
- Visibly active product, with a public changelog carrying entries from April through August 2026, and channel counts adjustable at any time on a prorated basis
Cons
- No postal address anywhere on the twenty-three pages collected, legal pages included: the company is identifiable only by its registered name and state of incorporation
- No independent security certification and no contractual availability commitment — the published SLA covers support response times only, on weekdays from 9am to 5pm EST
- No hosting country or region disclosed, and no named list of subprocessors despite a DPA that authorises them broadly
- No documented way to exclude customer content from model training, and no stated general position outside the Google Workspace carve-out
- Short content retention: 30 days on the free plan and for lifetime deals, capped at 24 months for subscribers, and cancelling brings no refund, prorated or otherwise
- "Unlimited" is bounded by a fair-usage ceiling of one million AI text tokens a month, and the engine may throttle generation or shift to cheaper models under load
- The mobile app the site repeatedly describes cannot be found in any store: the Google Play listings traced both return 404, and no iOS app is published by Postly Technologies
Pricing & Plans
A permanent free plan is available: the Starter plan may be used to test the workflow, with content retained for 30 days. Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Postly handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is claimed in explicit terms. A dedicated GDPR page, last updated 8 March 2023, states that Postly is fully compliant, listing data protection by design, transparency, user rights, encryption and third-party compliance. A data processing agreement is published, effective 16 May 2026, defining controller and processor roles, and access, correction, export and deletion are handled self-service from the account. Concrete gaps remain. No Article 27 representative in the EU is designated and no data protection officer is named. No transfer mechanism is cited — no standard contractual clauses, no adequacy framework — only a commitment to appropriate safeguards where the law requires them. No subprocessor list is published. Both the terms and the privacy policy are governed by Delaware law. The claim of full compliance is therefore broader than the evidence published alongside it.
Who owns the data?
Customers keep ownership of what they upload — the terms state that you retain all ownership rights to your content. In return, Postly Technologies, Inc. receives a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute and display that content for the purpose of providing and improving the service. Under the data processing agreement the customer is normally the controller and Postly the processor, acting only on documented customer instructions and free to suspend an instruction it believes unlawful. Data may also reach corporate affiliates, service providers, and an acquirer in the event of a sale or merger.
Reuse rights
Customers supply the content, so their own reuse is not gated: they keep ownership and can export, republish and repurpose their material freely, which is what the platform exists to do on their behalf across the destinations they choose. What the vendor may do is narrower. The licence granted in the terms is tied to providing and improving the service, and anonymised, aggregated customer data may be used for research and product improvement. Google Workspace API data is explicitly carved out: Postly states it does not use it to develop, improve or train generalised AI or ML models, and does not pass it to third-party AI tools. Google AI and OpenAI are named as LLM providers. Outside that carve-out no general position on training customer content is stated, and no opt-out is documented, so the stance is recorded as unclear. Content published to a connected network then falls under that network's own terms, which the customer is responsible for reviewing. Customers are also barred from using the AI output to build datasets for training competing models.

Hosting summary
No hosting country or region is disclosed. The privacy policy states that information may be transferred to offices, personnel or third parties located throughout the world and may be viewed and hosted anywhere in the world, including countries without laws of general applicability regulating such transfers. The data processing agreement adds that customer data may be processed in any country where Postly, its affiliates, service providers or subprocessors operate, with appropriate safeguards used where the law requires them; no mechanism is named. Subprocessors are authorised by category — hosting, infrastructure, analytics, support, payment, email, storage, communications and integration — but never listed. The only observable technical detail is that the domain is served behind Cloudflare on an anycast address, which locates a CDN node rather than the data itself. Declared safeguards include access controls and authentication, encryption in transit where supported, role-based production access, monitoring and logging, vendor security review, and backup and recovery. An information security programme is published, effective 31 July 2026 and reviewed at least annually, but no independent certification is claimed. Jurisdiction is Delaware.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Postly.
- "Unlimited" is a marketing word with a contract behind it: a fair-usage ceiling of one million AI text tokens a month applies, accounts that keep reaching it may be reviewed and moved to Enterprise, and extreme cases can lose access without refund
- Content can vanish on a timer. Retention runs 30 days on the free plan and for lifetime deals, 24 months for subscribers, counted from creation or last edit; afterwards it may be deleted or archived beyond recovery, and exporting in time is entirely your responsibility
- Handing a publishing queue to automation invites drift. AI Remix rewrites future occurrences of recurring posts and the engine may quietly shift to cheaper models under load, so scheduled output can change in tone or quality with nobody reading it before it ships
- Cancelling ends premium features immediately and earns no refund, not even prorated; direct refunds are capped at 30 days, and purchases made through AppSumo fall entirely under that marketplace's rules
- Losing a channel is not a refundable event: the terms state that adding, suspending or removing a network, blog platform or integration creates no right to a refund, even when the cause is a third party blocking the domain or changing its API terms
- Publishing depends on tokens that expire. Accounts disconnect when tokens lapse, when you sign out in the browser, when you change a password or when daily limits are exceeded, and reconnecting late interrupts scheduled posts
- Recourse is narrow and distant: mandatory arbitration after 60 days of informal negotiation, any claim barred after one year, Delaware law and exclusive jurisdiction there, and a service supplied "as is" with no warranty of availability
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Everyday use needs no technical skill. It is a web app: create an organisation and a workspace, connect channels through authorisation flows, then write and schedule. Friction sits at the connections — every permission must be granted, Instagram requires a Business or Professional account for web publishing, and Ghost, Hashnode and DEV.to need a key generated on their side. Accounts need periodic reconnection as tokens expire. The API and MCP routes are developer work involving keys, REST calls and signed webhooks, though guides are provided. Enterprise SSO, SCIM and SIEM are a project, carrying a USD 1,500 onboarding fee.

Should you pick Postly?
Postly is best understood as a consolidation play. Where most schedulers stop at social networks, it also publishes to five blog platforms and five email tools, adds link-in-bio destinations, folds in a social CRM that turns replies into exportable qualified contacts with revenue attribution, and exposes the whole thing through a REST API and MCP tooling that AI agents can drive. That those developer capabilities are marked included in the USD 16 per month Pro plan, rather than reserved for an enterprise tier, is the most concrete argument in its favour, alongside per-channel pricing that falls as you grow and a public changelog showing steady work through August 2026.
The reservations are about maturity rather than capability. No postal address appears anywhere on the site, including its legal pages. No hosting country is disclosed, no subprocessor list is published, no EU Article 27 representative is named, and no independent certification is claimed — a gap the vendor states openly rather than papering over, which is to its credit but does not close it. Content retention is short, cancelling brings no refund, and the word unlimited carries a fair-usage ceiling in the terms. The mobile app the site describes could not be located in any store.
For an agency or a marketing team looking to replace three or four subscriptions without moving up a price bracket, the breadth is genuinely hard to match at this cost, and the channel-based model scales predictably. For a buyer whose procurement checklist asks where data lives, who processes it and which auditor signed off, the answers are not yet on the page. Evaluate it on the free Starter plan or the 7-day trial, and confirm the compliance points directly with the vendor before committing.
