What is Quiki.io?
Quiki.io is a searchable library for the short-form videos you save and then never find again. The save tabs on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube keep your clips but offer no way to search inside them, so the only route back to a recipe, a workout or a tutorial is scrolling through thumbnails. Quiki.io closes that gap by reading the videos rather than merely storing their links.
The workflow is deliberately short. You paste a video URL, or bulk import a whole backlog from a platform data export with date filters. Quiki scans the video, writes an AI summary, extracts keywords and tags, and drops it into one of 47 ready-made folders; you can add your own. Everything is then indexed together: summaries, transcripts, tags and any notes you write yourself.
Depth is priced in credits. A fast scan returns metadata and a summary for one credit. A transcript costs five, and a deep multimodal analysis reading the audio track and the video frames together costs ten, as do Instagram Reels. Transcripts come back timestamped, so a half-remembered phrase takes you straight to the right moment. TikTok photo carousels are handled too, summarised from the images since there is no audio. If a creator deletes the original video, the transcript, summary and analysis already generated stay in your library.
Two access routes sit on top. Swipe Mode turns the library into a full-screen, one-video-per-screen feed with shuffle and folder filtering. A Model Context Protocol server, shipped as the @quiki/mcp npm package, exposes eight tools — scan_url, get_scan, get_video, list_recent_videos, bulk_import, bulk_import_estimate, get_bulk_import_status and whoami — so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP-aware agent can scan videos, pull transcripts and query the library programmatically with a personal access token.
An iOS app adds a Send to Quiki share-sheet extension and also runs on iPad, Apple silicon Macs and Apple Vision. The homepage claims 100K+ videos analysed, three platforms supported and 99.9% uptime.

GDPR overview
Quiki.io never uses the words GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation in its privacy policy; the only occurrence anywhere on the site is an SEO keywords tag. The mechanisms are there without being named. The policy, dated 15 August 2026, lists rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability. Analytics cookies are set only after consent for visitors in the EEA and the UK, and that choice can be withdrawn through a Cookie preferences link in the footer. Transfers outside the EEA and the UK rely on what the policy calls standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures. What is missing is just as explicit: no Article 27 EU representative, no named data protection officer, no data processing agreement and no subprocessor list. A single address, hello@quiki.io, serves legal, privacy and support enquiries alike.
Who owns the data?
Quiki.io states plainly that your library stays yours. The privacy policy says the company does not sell personal data and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data reaches only the service providers that run the product: cloud hosting and database providers, payment processors and app store billing, email senders, AI analysis providers, video data providers and analytics tools. The FAQ adds that the metadata sent to the third-party AI provider is covered by a contract prohibiting training on customer data. You keep rights of access, correction, deletion, objection and portability, and deleting your account removes your videos, scan history and credit balance.
Reuse rights
The terms grant no reuse rights over Quiki.io itself: the service, its content and its features remain the company's intellectual property. What the tool produces from the videos you submit — AI summaries, timestamped transcripts, tags and analyses — sits in your account, and support will export your scans, summaries, transcripts and folder structure on request by email. A self-serve export is announced but has not shipped. The site sets no explicit licence on that output and says nothing about reusing it elsewhere, so the underlying videos still belong to their creators and what you do with a transcript outside your own library remains your responsibility.

Quiki.io names no hosting country and no hosting provider. The privacy policy, dated 15 August 2026, describes its infrastructure only by category: cloud hosting and database providers that run the app and store your account information and content. What it does disclose is where data travels. Some service providers process personal data outside the EEA and the UK, including in the United States and, for AI content analysis, in China; when you submit a video, its transcript, audio and sampled frames may be sent to AI providers located outside the EEA. Those transfers rely on what the policy calls standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures, with the data shared limited to what the service needs. The only named third parties on the whole site are Google Analytics, PostHog and Vercel Analytics for measurement, Stripe for payment and Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases. Technically the domain and front end sit behind Cloudflare, an anycast CDN, which says nothing about where the data itself rests. There is no trust or security page and no certification.
