Overview

What is Rantir?

Rantir is an AI-oriented development platform published by Hexigon AI, Inc., a self-described bootstrapped Colorado S-corp. Its slogan, Build Software not Websites, sets out the ambition: rather than another site builder, it presents itself as a place to assemble working business systems from a visual canvas. The product is organised around three named blocks. Rantir Studio is the visual layer, where a page or an app is generated from a prompt, imported from Figma or the web, then edited and published. Rantir Data provides the persistence layer: a database with spreadsheet-style views, authentication, document handling and CRM features covering customers, content, forms and products. Rantir Logic carries the automation: a node-based editor for workflows and AI agents, webhooks, real-time triggers and third-party connectors. Around them sit Rantir Cloud, the hosting and console layer; Rantir Pro, which adds managed hosting and human support; Reskilled, an AI training track; and OpenClaw, an open-source agent framework with managed API access to models such as Minimax and Moonshot Kimi. What distinguishes Rantir from a pure SaaS product is its hybrid model. Alongside self-service subscriptions, the company sells monthly blocks of design and development hours, from ten to sixty per month, delivered by a named team. Several plans read less like software licences than like a retained studio with a platform attached. The site advertises 120+ enterprise customers, more than 10 million generated pages and 99.9% uptime, and documents verticals with dedicated pages for healthcare, construction, finance, agencies and startups. Named case studies include Travel Insured International, which reports a 38% cut in quote-to-policy time, LeaseLeads, Kikoff and Spring Health. The technical base is visible and conventional: Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, Ubuntu with Dokploy or Coolify. Integration counts, however, are quoted inconsistently across the site, ranging from 220+ to 930+, and the compliance claims made in product FAQs are flatly contradicted by the legal pages.

When to use Rantir / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Rantir is the right fit.

When to use Rantir

  • Agencies and studios building client websites, portals and dashboards who want one platform instead of a Webflow, CRM and Zapier stack
  • Founders and small product teams shipping a first customer-facing app without hiring engineers
  • Operations and business teams replacing spreadsheets and forms with internal tools, dashboards and automated workflows
  • Marketing and growth teams that need lead capture, a CRM, email automation and SEO tooling in the same place as the site itself
  • Healthcare, construction, finance and property teams looking for a vertical portal or CRM with AI assessments built in

When not to use Rantir

  • Organisations that require certified compliance: the legal pages state plainly that Rantir is not SOC 2 compliant and not fully GDPR compliant
  • European teams processing EU personal data, since the platform is described as designed primarily for U.S.-based customers
  • Anyone who needs a native iOS or Android application, as none is offered
  • Buyers who want to be able to change their mind: every purchase is declared final and non-refundable
  • Teams unwilling to commit, as the serviced Enterprise plans run on six-month terms with the balance payable on early exit

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Genuinely broad scope for one subscription: site, database, CRM, workflows, AI agents and hosting in a single place
  • Clear and generous intellectual property terms, with customers keeping their content, their AI outputs and their paid-for deliverables
  • Subprocessors are named one by one, with the service each provides and where the data sits
  • Unusual candour in the legal pages about the certifications the company does not hold
  • A permanent free plan and a low paid entry point at 49 USD per month
  • Documented verticals and named customer case studies rather than generic claims
  • Open-source components under a Fair-Code licence, with on-premise installation possible

Cons

  • The site contradicts itself on compliance: product FAQs advertise SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance while the legal pages deny both
  • It also contradicts itself on model training, with the data policy prohibiting it and the privacy policy describing it
  • The privacy policy and terms still refer to a different website, airpri.com, betraying a copied template
  • No postal address is published anywhere on the site
  • Nothing is refundable, and AI credits and service hours expire monthly without carry-over
  • Serviced plans require a six-month commitment, with the remaining balance due on early termination
  • Integration counts are quoted inconsistently, from 220+ to 930+ depending on the page, and the legal pages have not been revised since August 2025

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Rantir handles your data.

GDPR overview

Rantir addresses the GDPR explicitly, and does so to disclaim it. A dedicated GDPR disclaimer on the subprocessors page states that the company is not fully compliant with the regulation, that it is still evaluating its vendors and data handling, and that the platform is designed primarily for U.S.-based customers, with any processing of EU personal data considered limited in scope. EU hosting is possible through Supabase and Rantir says it endeavours to use EU data centres, but warns that some processing may still occur outside the EU depending on configuration. No Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer are named; legal enquiries go to a general legal address. Data processing agreements are offered on request to Enterprise customers only. Note the contradiction: a product FAQ elsewhere on the site claims the opposite and describes Rantir as GDPR compliant.

Who owns the data?

The customer keeps ownership. Rantir's terms state that all uploaded and generated material - files, prompts, code, media, branding, databases, customer records and business information - remains the customer's, and that Rantir acquires no ownership interest in it. AI outputs generated on the customer's behalf also belong to the customer, subject to the licences of the underlying third-party models. Bespoke deliverables become the customer's property once paid in full. Rantir receives only a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, cache and back up that content in order to operate the service. Rantir retains its own platform, frameworks, SDKs, templates and orchestration layer. Feedback sent to Rantir is a notable exception: it is licensed to Rantir perpetually and irrevocably.

Reuse rights

Customers may reuse their own content freely and without asking permission. Rantir states that users can commercialise, patent, copyright, licence, sell or distribute the websites, applications, databases, workflows and AI outputs they create, including work produced for clients, subject only to applicable law and third-party model licences. The restriction sits on the platform, not on the output: customers may not copy, resell, sublicense or white-label Rantir itself, offer it as a competing hosted service, or reverse engineer it, without a written Enterprise agreement. Open-source and on-premise components are distributed under a GPL-extended Fair-Code licence for personal and internal business use, with a commercial add-on required beyond that.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Rantir says it keeps client data only as long as necessary for the services agreed. When a Rantir Cloud instance is cancelled, data integrated with third parties is removed within thirty days. The company describes documented retention policies that record the classification, data type and retention period of each item, and says that once a retention period expires it begins secure deletion, including overwriting storage media several times to prevent recovery. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. A product FAQ adds that customers control their own retention rules, can export or delete data at any time, and that backups are kept for disaster recovery only. Be aware that the wording of the thirty-day clause is garbled on the site itself.

Hosting summary

Rantir publishes its hosting chain. Supabase provides the database, authentication and storage, located in the United States or the European Union depending on configuration. Vercel hosts the frontend in the United States, OpenAI performs model inference in the United States, Stripe processes payments in the United States, and Cloudflare supplies CDN, DNS and security across its global edge network and the United States. A product FAQ describes hosting on enterprise-grade infrastructure in US and EU regions, and VPS plans allow customers to choose their data centre. Rantir says it endeavours to use EU data centres for people covered by the GDPR, but warns explicitly that some processing may still take place outside the EU depending on configuration or use case. The jurisdiction of reference is the United States: the company is a Colorado corporation and its terms are governed by Colorado law. Note that the domain's resolved IP address belongs to a Cloudflare anycast node and says nothing about where data actually lives.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Rantir.

  • Compliance claims on the site contradict each other outright, so any regulated project risks being built on an assurance the vendor's own legal pages withdraw
  • The stated position on training models with customer data is contradictory and no opt-out is documented, leaving a real ambiguity over what happens to sensitive content
  • Generative output is probabilistic and the vendor disclaims accuracy, so shipping AI-written pages, assessments or chat answers without human review can put wrong information in front of customers
  • Consolidating site, data, CRM, workflows and hosting with one supplier concentrates risk and makes any later migration a large project
  • The commercial terms punish hesitation: nothing is refundable, credits expire monthly, cancellation needs thirty days and serviced plans lock in six months
  • Building quickly by prompt can erode the team's own understanding of its systems, leaving no one able to explain or repair what was generated
  • No postal address is published and the legal documents still reference another company's website, which would complicate any formal dispute
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low for the intended path. Rantir states that no coding is required for most features, onboarding is guided, and a first dashboard is claimed to take under five minutes from a template, with one to two hours for a custom build. Migration from Webflow, Framer or Shopify is assisted. Difficulty rises with ambition: custom scripts, webhooks, edge functions and the REST API assume developer skills, and running a dedicated VPS on Ubuntu with Dokploy or Coolify is genuine system administration. The serviced plans exist precisely so that setup can be delegated.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code to use Rantir?
No for most of the platform. Rantir states that no coding is required for the bulk of its features, thanks to the visual builder and pre-built templates. Custom scripts, edge functions and full-stack development remain available when you need to go further.
Is there a free plan, and what does the paid entry point cost?
Yes. Rantir offers a permanent free plan with limited features, and you can start without a credit card. The cheapest paid tier is 49 USD per month. Self-service pricing then runs at 99 and 299 USD per month, with serviced plans from 999 up to 3,999 USD per month and beyond.
Does Rantir have an API?
Yes. Rantir publishes a full REST API for programmatic access to platform features, together with webhooks and edge functions for custom server-side logic. The API reference sits in the documentation section of the site.
How many integrations are there, and which ones?
The site is inconsistent on the count, quoting 220+, 370+, 900+ and 930+ on different pages, so treat the headline number with caution. The integrations named explicitly include Slack, GitHub, Airtable, Gmail, Salesforce, HubSpot, Supabase, Stripe, Figma, Webflow, Framer, Shopify and Discord.
Where is my data hosted, and who processes it?
Rantir names five subprocessors: Supabase for the database, authentication and storage, hosted in the United States or the European Union depending on configuration; Vercel for frontend hosting; OpenAI for model inference; Stripe for payments; and Cloudflare for CDN, DNS and security. A product FAQ describes hosting across US and EU regions, and VPS plans let you pick a data centre.
Is Rantir SOC 2, GDPR or HIPAA compliant?
The legal pages say no by default. One page is titled "We are not SOC 2 Compliant", and a GDPR disclaimer states that the company is not fully compliant with the regulation. Product FAQs elsewhere on the site claim the opposite, so this point needs to be settled directly with the vendor before any regulated use.
Is my data used to train AI models?
The site gives two different answers. Its data policy contains a section titled Model Training Prohibition stating that Rantir does not train or fine-tune models on user data, and a FAQ repeats that data is never used for training. The privacy policy, however, describes handling large volumes of data to train and improve the company's AI models, anonymised and aggregated. No opt-out mechanism is documented.
Who owns the websites, applications and AI content I create?
You do. Rantir states that customers retain ownership of their content, databases, applications, workflows and AI-generated outputs, and may commercialise that work, including work built for clients. Rantir keeps ownership of the underlying platform, frameworks and templates, and you may not resell or white-label Rantir itself without an Enterprise agreement.
Can I get a refund or cancel easily?
Refunds are essentially unavailable: all purchases are declared final, and AI credits and unused service hours expire at the end of each billing cycle. Subscriptions can be cancelled but take effect thirty days after notice, and serviced Enterprise agreements run on fixed terms of six months or more, with the remaining balance falling due on early termination.
Conclusion

Should you pick Rantir?

Rantir is one of the more ambitious attempts to collapse a whole toolchain into a single product. The combination of a visual builder, a real database with CRM features, a workflow and agent engine, and managed hosting is coherent rather than opportunistic, and the intellectual property terms are genuinely favourable: you keep your content, your AI outputs and the work you build for your own clients. Naming five subprocessors with their roles and data locations is a level of transparency many competitors skip. The difficulty is that the site does not speak with one voice. Product FAQs advertise SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance; the legal pages, on separate dedicated sections, deny both in plain language. The same split appears on model training, where the data policy prohibits what the privacy policy describes. Those documents still name a different website in places, and have not been revised since August 2025. None of this means the platform is untrustworthy, but it does mean the published claims cannot all be true at once, and a buyer with regulatory obligations must get written answers before committing. The commercial terms deserve the same attention. Nothing is refundable, AI credits and service hours expire each month, cancellation takes thirty days, and the serviced plans are six-month agreements whose balance falls due if you leave early. That is a reasonable structure for a studio retainer and an unusual one for software. For a US-based agency, startup or operations team that wants to consolidate a fragmented stack and is comfortable with a hands-on vendor, Rantir is a serious candidate. For regulated or European buyers, it is a conversation to have before a subscription to start.
