The calculator suite is the part with the most depth, and it is split into four families. Eleven business tools cover advanced ROI with net present value, break-even, profit margin, price sensitivity, true employee cost, SaaS metrics, payback period, equity dilution, runway and burn rate, LTV:CAC and depreciation. Eleven personal tools handle debt payoff, mortgages, take-home pay, freelance rates, retirement and FIRE, taxes, net worth, budgeting, credit card payoff, emergency funds and 529 college savings. Two more address loans, equipment leases and the rent-versus-buy question, and nine cover forecasting: revenue, investment growth, cash flow, currency exchange, scenario and sensitivity analysis, demand, budget variance and CAGR. Each calculator has its own page with the method explained, a worked numeric example, common mistakes and a short FAQ.
Data is written to the browser's IndexedDB and a service worker handles offline use; there is no backend. One caveat matters: the Windows edition on the Microsoft Store advertises AI features the website does not have, including an AI negotiator, AI recap generation and AI business plan generation, offered as five free credits before a paid subscription.

GDPR overview
There is no mention of the GDPR anywhere on the site or in the in-app legal documents, and none of the CCPA or any other data protection regulation either. No data protection officer is named, no Article 27 EU representative is designated, no Data Processing Agreement is offered, and no procedure is described for exercising rights of access, erasure or portability. No legal basis and no retention period are stated. The whole position rests on a factual argument rather than a regulatory one: nothing is collected, therefore nothing is processed. That reasoning does not extend to the third-party advertising cookies the site acknowledges using, and no consent banner was observed. The Privacy Policy does contain a children's section stating the service is not directed at anyone under 13.
Who owns the data?
According to the Privacy Policy last updated on 5 July 2026, the user is the sole holder of everything created in Recapflow. The publisher states plainly that no account is required, that no personal data is collected and that content is never stored on external servers. Tasks, notes, reminders, calculator history and preferences are written to the browser's IndexedDB and, in the publisher's own words, never leave the device unless the user exports them. Since Recapflow declares no backend server, no database and no cloud storage for personal data, it claims no licence over user content and has, by construction, nothing to exploit or transfer.
Reuse rights
Users keep full freedom over their own content: it stays on their machine, can be viewed, edited or deleted at any time from the interface, and can be exported in full and re-imported on another device without asking anyone. The publisher declares that it receives no content and therefore makes no use of it. The only declared third parties are Google Fonts and advertising networks, Google AdSense among them. Advertising is confined to the Dashboard, calculator results and the blog, while Tasks, Notes, Habits, Reminders, Settings and Search stay ad-free; the site states that advertising cookies carry no data from Recapflow usage and that user content is never shared with advertisers. There is effectively no hosting of user data to describe. Recapflow writes tasks, notes, habits, reminders, calculator history and preferences to the browser's IndexedDB on the user's own machine, and the Privacy Policy states that it relies on no backend server, no database and no cloud storage for personal data. What is hosted is the application itself: the Terms of Service state that Recapflow is served through Cloudflare's global content delivery network. The domain resolves to 172.67.157.194 on Cloudflare's network, which is an anycast address and therefore identifies no hosting country.
