Overview

What is Release0?

Release0 is a no-code platform for building conversational applications, chatbots and conversational forms alike, and publishing them wherever an audience already is. Its centre of gravity is a visual flow editor, the Graph, where user inputs, conditional logic, variables and integrations are dragged into place; the site claims more than 45 block types. Five families of use case are documented: lead qualification, customer support, product launches, user onboarding and general AI chat.

Each agent can be backed by a model of your choosing, with OpenAI, Mistral, Claude and Groq named on the site, and full control over the prompt. Publishing is deliberately broad: an iframe, a chat bubble or a popup on any site, an official WordPress plugin, a Liquid snippet for Shopify themes, plus Wix, Webflow, Framer, FlutterFlow, Notion, React and Next.js. WhatsApp is available but still in beta. Agents can run on a custom domain with an SSL certificate, or on one of Release0's own short domains.

Once published, the Submissions area reports views, starts and completions, streams events in real time, and produces a dashboard that can be shared publicly in a single click. The analytics retention window widens from three months to five years as you move up the plans. A/B testing, UTM forwarding and connections to Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Segment round out the measurement side. A User Info feature reads country, city, device, browser, operating system and language from the visitor's request, including an 'Is EU Country' flag that flows can branch on.

Teams work in shared workspaces holding two to fifty members, with tags and shared credentials. Developers get a documented REST API with Bearer keys plus webhooks, so agents can also be driven headlessly.

The product is less new than newly public. It grew as internal tooling inside MobAppCreator, another product of publisher MobApp Labs LLC, was used on client work from 2021, and only opened to everyone in April 2025. Two limits deserve naming up front: there is no native human live chat, and no mobile application.

When to use Release0 / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Release0 is the right fit.

When to use Release0

  • Support teams that want to deflect repetitive questions before they reach a human agent
  • Agencies delivering branded chat experiences for clients without hiring a developer
  • Sales and growth teams qualifying inbound leads and routing only the warm ones onward
  • E-commerce operators automating product guidance, Stripe orders and return requests
  • Solo founders and small teams that need a working agent on a permanent free plan

When not to use Release0

  • Teams that need native human live chat, since Release0 agents are built for asynchronous conversations
  • Anyone expecting a native mobile app: the product is web-only, however mobile-friendly the interface is
  • Organisations whose procurement requires a signed DPA, an Article 27 EU representative or a SOC 2 report
  • Companies that must self-host, as the self-hosted option was announced in April 2025 and never shipped
  • Private individuals: the terms restrict use to commercial and business purposes, from the age of sixteen

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • A genuinely usable permanent free tier: 20 agents and 250 chats a month, with no card required
  • Aggressive pricing against the competitors the site names, at 31 USD a month where its own ManyChat comparison quotes 125 USD and up
  • API and webhook access from the first paid plan rather than from the top one
  • Model choice across four providers instead of a single locked-in vendor
  • An explicit data stance: no training on customer data, and no resale
  • Infrastructure providers named one by one, each with a link to its own privacy policy
  • Thorough documentation and a Discord community, plus two months free on annual billing

Cons

  • The publisher is identified only as MobApp Labs LLC, located in Miami, FL, with no street, postcode or registration number
  • No Data Processing Agreement, no Article 27 EU representative, no named data protection officer and no security certification
  • No native human live chat: handover requires the Chatwoot element or an external helpdesk such as Freshdesk or Zendesk
  • No mobile application, and the self-hosted option announced in April 2025 is still unavailable
  • Standard support is capped at thirty minutes per request, anything longer is billed as consulting, and the free plan carries no SLA
  • No refunds or credits for early cancellation, and liability on beta features is capped at 100 USD
  • Homepage testimonials cite companies that cannot be verified

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Release0 handles your data.

GDPR overview

GDPR handling is partial and largely declarative. The privacy policy carries a 'Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)' section covering access, rectification, erasure and restriction, exercised by writing to privacy@release0.com, and commits to never selling data and never training models on it. Beyond that the record thins out: no Data Processing Agreement is published or offered, no Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, and no transfer mechanism such as standard contractual clauses is described. No security certification is claimed anywhere. The strongest compliance language on the site, 'automatic GDPR compliance' and '100% GDPR compliance', appears in a product blog post about EU-visitor detection rather than in a legal document. The publisher is based in Miami, Florida, and the terms are governed by Florida law. The policy is dated 2 April 2025.

Who owns the data?

Release0's terms define Customer Data as anything you upload or create inside the service, and leave it entirely in your hands. You are solely liable for it, you must hold the rights and consents needed to process and share it with Release0, and Release0 disclaims any responsibility for what it contains. Ownership of the platform itself, its software and its brand assets stays with Release0, so using the service grants you no rights over them. Feedback and suggestions you send may be reused by Release0 without compensation. People who interact with a published agent are governed by the agent creator's own configuration rather than by Release0, and the privacy policy states data is never sold.

Reuse rights

Nothing in the terms restricts what you do with the conversations, submissions and files your agents collect: the data is yours to reuse without asking permission, and flows and results can be exported through the interface or the REST API. Release0 states plainly that it never sells data and that no data is used to improve or train generalised AI or ML models, a commitment repeated for the Google Sheets connector, where spreadsheet content is neither stored nor reused. Site visitors are measured only through anonymous, cookieless Google Analytics; inside the builder, a single first-party cookie keeps the session open. Named providers handle data on Release0's behalf: Vercel, Neon, Firebase, Stripe, Resend and Google.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Release0 keeps your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as it needs it to provide the service, and beyond that where a legal obligation, a dispute or the enforcement of an agreement requires it. Deletion is on request: you can ask for your account to be closed at any time, and the policy commits to erasing all associated data permanently and immediately. Analytics data follows a separate, commercial clock, running three months on Hobby, one year on Pro, two years on Business and five years on Advanced. Where an agent uses the Remember User setting, answers are held in the visitor's own browser storage rather than on Release0's servers. No figures are published for logs, backups or billing records, and anonymisation is not mentioned.

Hosting summary

Release0 runs no infrastructure of its own and names every provider it relies on. The web application is hosted on Vercel, with static assets cached across its edge network and server functions, meaning the API calls, running in London, United Kingdom, in the lhr1 region. Databases sit with Neon on AWS and with Firebase on Google Cloud Platform. Uploaded files are stored by Firebase in the us-east-1 region in Northern Virginia, United States. Payments pass through Stripe and transactional email through Resend. The domain's public IP address, 76.76.21.21, is a Vercel anycast node announced from Amazon's network, so it says nothing useful about where data actually rests. Two jurisdictions are therefore in play, the United Kingdom and the United States, with the publisher established in Florida and the terms governed by Florida law. There is no region selection, no data-residency option and no described transfer mechanism such as standard contractual clauses. Each provider is linked to its own privacy policy, which is more disclosure than most tools of this size offer, but the arrangement is fixed and customers take it as it comes.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Release0.

  • The conversations your agents collect may hold personal data visitors typed without thinking, and you are the controller of that data, not Release0
  • Automating first-line support can quietly erode a team's feel for what customers are actually struggling with
  • Agents write in a human register, and the terms forbid passing AI output off as human, a line that is easy to blur by accident
  • Prompt control sits with you, so a badly framed prompt becomes a badly framed answer at scale, in front of customers
  • The publisher gives no full address and offers no DPA, and any dispute runs through the courts of Florida
  • Liability is capped at what you paid over the previous twelve months, and at 100 USD for anything labelled beta
  • Analytics retention runs to five years on the top plan, so conversation data can outlive the campaign that produced it
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low for the core work: building and publishing an agent needs no code at all, and embedding is a matter of pasting a generated snippet or installing the official WordPress plugin. Two steps raise the bar. Shopify requires editing the theme.liquid file, and a custom domain means configuring DNS yourself. Right-to-left layouts are hand-written in custom CSS. The REST API and webhooks assume a developer. Note also that standard support stops at thirty minutes per request: flow architecture and API mapping are billed as consulting rather than treated as help.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Release0?
A no-code platform for building conversational AI agents and conversational forms. Flows are assembled in a visual drag-and-drop editor, then published to a website, WordPress, Shopify, WhatsApp or a QR code. It opened to the public in April 2025.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, and it is permanent rather than a time-limited trial. The Hobby plan costs nothing, asks for no credit card, and allows 20 agents and 250 submission chats per month.
How much does the cheapest paid plan cost?
Pro is 31 USD per month on monthly billing. Business costs 69 USD and Advanced 110 USD. Choosing annual billing gives two months free.
Does Release0 offer an API?
Yes. A REST API is documented and authenticated with a Bearer key generated from Account Settings. API access starts at the Pro plan; the Hobby plan has none.
Where is my data hosted?
Server functions run in London, United Kingdom, on Vercel. Files are stored with Firebase in the us-east-1 region in Northern Virginia. Databases sit with Neon on AWS and with Firebase on Google Cloud Platform.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. The privacy policy states that no data is used to improve or train generalised AI or ML models, and repeats that commitment for content read from connected Google Sheets.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, sixteen years old. The terms also restrict use of the service to commercial and business purposes.
Can a human take over a conversation?
Not natively. Release0 agents are designed for asynchronous chat. Live handover is documented through the Chatwoot element, or by creating tickets in a helpdesk such as Freshdesk or Zendesk.
Who publishes Release0?
MobApp Labs LLC, described in the terms as located in Miami, Florida. No full postal address is published anywhere on the site.
Is there a mobile app?
No native application is offered. The homepage describes the experience as fully mobile-ready, which refers to responsive delivery in the browser.
Conclusion

Should you pick Release0?

Release0 solves a narrow problem well: putting a working conversational agent in front of visitors without a developer. The visual editor, the thirteen documented publishing targets and the choice of four model providers make it a credible option for support deflection, lead qualification and onboarding, and the free Hobby plan is generous enough to prove the idea before spending anything. At 31 USD a month the first paid tier undercuts the competitors the site itself lines up against, and it opens API access rather than reserving it for enterprise buyers.

The product carries the marks of its history. It ran for years as internal tooling on client work before opening to the public in April 2025, which shows both in the depth of the integrations and in the roughness of some edges: WhatsApp is still in beta, self-hosting was announced and never shipped, and there is no native human handover.

The real reservation is not technical but institutional. The publisher discloses very little about itself, a company name and a city and nothing more, and the compliance file is thin: no data processing agreement, no Article 27 representative, no named data protection officer, no security certification. The strongest GDPR language on the site sits in a marketing post rather than in a contract. For a solo builder, an agency or a small team that is a manageable risk against the price. For a European organisation processing personal data at scale, or for anyone whose procurement asks for a signed DPA, it is a blocker that no feature list offsets. Worth trying on the free plan; worth a legal review before it handles anything sensitive.
