Relume
Relume is an AI website builder for marketing sites. From a short brief it generates sitemaps, wireframes and style guides built on a library of over 1,000 real components, exportable to Figma, Webflow and React.
What is Relume?
Relume is an AI-assisted website builder published by Relume Tech Pty Ltd, an Australian company. Its historic domain, relume.io, was registered in August 2020 and first archived that October; it now redirects to relume.ai. The product covers the upstream half of a web project in three moves: sitemap, wireframe, style guide.
The sitemap step takes a few sentences about a company and maps out its key pages. Relume pitches this as a scoping device as much as a design one — settle the page list early and avoid scope creep. The wireframe step converts that sitemap into pages in one click, laying out real, unstyled components carrying generated copy; the stated principle is that the user stays in control, not the AI. The Style Guide Builder then turns brand colours and fonts into a full system: complementary shades, typeface pairings, and coordinated button, form and card styles.
What separates Relume from a generic generator is the library underneath. Roughly 1,000 Webflow components built on Finsweet's Client-First convention, 1,000 Figma components with mobile variants, and 1,000 React components using Tailwind CSS and Shadcn UI; newer pricing tiers advertise 1,500 or more. Work leaves by copy and paste into Figma, Webflow, React or HTML, and a one-click export sends a complete design system — colours, type, spacing, components, logos — into Claude Design.
Two extensions widen the surface. The Relume Library MCP, launched on 1 July 2026, exposes the library to AI editors such as Cursor, Claude, VS Code and Cline, vendoring editable React components into a project instead of letting the assistant invent markup; it requires a paid plan. A Chrome extension brings the library inside Webflow itself, adding class syncing, an SVG icon converter and workflow automations.
Relume claims more than a million designers and developers and 500,000 sites built, and displays Nike, Webflow, IDEO, Darktrace, DEPT and VML as customers. Generation is offered in more than twenty languages. Two prerequisites are stated plainly: you need to know Webflow, and copying components does not work in Safari.
What it does
- Generate a complete sitemap from a few sentences describing the company
- Turn that sitemap into wireframes in one click, with real components and generated copy
- Build a style guide: colour palettes and shades, typeface pairings, button, form and card styles
- Export to Figma, Webflow, React, HTML or Claude Design by copy and paste
- Import an existing site's structure by pasting its URL
- Share a project by link and collect client comments on it
- Plug the component library into an AI editor through the Relume Library MCP server
When to use Relume / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Relume is the right fit.
When to use Relume
- Webflow designers and developers who want a structured starting point before they begin building
- Agencies and freelancers who must scope a site and get client sign-off quickly
- Front-end developers working in React who want vetted components rather than AI-invented markup
- Product and brand designers assembling a shared system of colours, typography and UI styles
- Marketing and growth teams shipping landing pages and marketing sites at a steady pace
When not to use Relume
- Anyone with no Webflow experience: the site states outright that knowing Webflow is required
- Teams looking for a hosted end-to-end platform, since Relume produces artefacts to export rather than a live site
- Safari-only users, as copying components works on Chrome, Firefox and Edge only
- People who need a mobile app: no iOS or Android application exists
- Buyers who want to compare public prices before signing up, since no amount is published in the page markup
How to use Relume
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create a free account on the Relume app; no payment is required to start
- Describe the business in a few sentences in the Site Builder brief, and pick a generation language if needed
- Review the sitemap the AI returns, then adjust its pages and sections
- Convert the sitemap into wireframes in one click
- Refine the pages: add components from the library and regenerate copy where it falls short
- Open the Style Guide Builder and feed it your brand colours and fonts to get shades, pairings and UI styles
- Share the project link with the team or the client and collect their comments
- Copy any component and paste it into Figma, Webflow, React or Claude Design
- Install the Chrome extension to reach the library from inside Webflow
- On a paid plan, add the MCP server URL to your AI editor and sign in with your Relume account
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Output is assembled from a maintained component library rather than invented interface code
- Sitemap, wireframe and style guide sit in one tool, covering the whole pre-production stretch
- Native exports into Figma, Webflow, React and Claude Design fit workflows teams already use
- A permanent free plan sits alongside a seven-day trial on the entry paid tier, extendable on request
- Full refund available within ten days, and cancellation takes a single click
- The library grows every month, on what Relume calls Component Day
- Commercial client work is expressly permitted, and an AI-training opt-out is available
Cons
- No subscription price appears in the page markup: amounts load by JavaScript and cannot be read without an account
- Two different tier sets are displayed on the same pricing page, which makes comparison awkward
- Legal documentation is thin: no postal address, no GDPR wording, no subprocessor list, no retention period
- The terms date from February 2023 and the privacy policy from December 2024, well behind the product's release pace
- Webflow knowledge is a stated prerequisite, and copying components fails in Safari
- The MCP server and class syncing are locked to paid plans, and support runs mainly through a Slack community
- No mobile application and no public API documented on the site
Pricing & Plans
Relume operates a freemium model. A permanent free plan is available and requires no payment, and the entry paid tier carries a seven-day free trial that can be extended on request. Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly by card through Stripe, taxes excluded, with a full refund available within ten days. No amount is published: the pricing page renders its figures in JavaScript, so neither the page source, nor the pricing FAQ, nor any product page carries a price. The lowest price point could therefore not be established from a first-party source.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Relume handles your data.
GDPR overview
There is no GDPR implementation to report. Across the seventeen pages collected — privacy policy, terms, licensing agreement, cookie notice, support and product pages, in text and archived HTML — the words GDPR, CCPA, DPA and data processing agreement do not appear once. No Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no subprocessor list is published and no retention period is stated. The publisher, Relume Tech Pty Ltd, is an Australian company with no declared EU establishment. The privacy policy, in force since 2 December 2024, describes collection and disclosure practices rather than data-subject rights. The only documented user controls are the AI-training opt-out in account settings and the cookie preference panel. European users should treat this silence as an open question to put to hello@relume.io.
Who owns the data?
Relume Tech Pty Ltd operates the service under a privacy policy in force since 2 December 2024. Name, email address, passwords, security data and payment details are collected at sign-up. Relume states that it does not share personally identifying information publicly or with third parties except where the law requires it, and that it will never rent or sell it. Disclosure is limited to employees, contractors and affiliated organisations that need to know and have agreed not to pass it on; some of them sit outside the user's home country. No clause addresses ownership of the sitemaps and wireframes generated. A separate licensing agreement governs component use and expressly permits commercial projects.
Reuse rights
One clause matters more than the rest: Relume may use certain customer data for AI training and model development, anonymised or aggregated where feasible, and users can opt out in their account settings. Non-identifying browsing data — browser type, language, referring site, request timestamps — is collected automatically to study how the site is used. Google Analytics receives IP address, visited URL and viewing time. Stripe processes every payment and is described as certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. Cookies are split into essential, personalisation, marketing and analytics categories behind a consent banner. Nothing in the terms restricts what a user does with the sitemaps and wireframes they generate; component reuse falls under a separate licensing agreement, which allows commercial client work but bans storing components the user does not own, on pain of a lifetime account ban.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Relume publishes nothing about where user data is hosted. Neither the privacy policy, nor the terms, nor the licensing agreement or cookie notice names a country, a region or a hosting provider, and the site has no trust or security page. The only related statement is a warning that some employees, contractors and affiliated organisations may sit outside the user's home country, and that using the site implies consent to transferring information to them. Technical indicators describe the marketing site rather than the application: it is served behind Cloudflare from an anycast address and published through Webflow's CDN. Neither says anything about where projects, account records or generated content are stored. The publisher, Relume Tech Pty Ltd, is an Australian company, which suggests but does not establish an Australian jurisdiction for the data. Anyone with a data residency requirement should treat hosting as an open question and put it to hello@relume.io before committing.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Relume.
- The privacy policy permits customer data to feed AI training; the opt-out sits in account settings and is not on by default
- With no published pricing, budget commitments are made after account creation rather than before
- No GDPR wording, no DPA, no subprocessor list and no stated retention period leave European compliance questions unanswered
- No postal address is published and the domain registrant is masked by a privacy service, leaving little to hold on to in a dispute
- Leaning on generated sitemaps and wireframes can quietly erode the habit of reasoning through information architecture from scratch
- Generated copy is a draft, not approved messaging: client-facing work still needs human judgement before it ships
- The real cost includes Webflow or Figma subscriptions, billed separately and not optional
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for the core product. A free account, no installation and no payment are enough to generate a first sitemap, and exports work by keyboard copy and paste. The Chrome extension installs in one click. The MCP server is the only step asking for anything technical: paste its URL into an AI editor, authenticate with your Relume account, and a one-time setup wires the path alias, Tailwind preset and icons. The real prerequisite is professional rather than technical — Relume states that you need to know Webflow. Note also that copying components fails in Safari.

Should you pick Relume?
Relume occupies a precise slot: the stretch between a client brief and a build-ready design, which is where web projects usually lose the most time. Rather than generating a finished website, it generates the artefacts that let a designer start — an information architecture, wireframes populated with components that genuinely exist, and a style guide that can be handed straight to Figma, Webflow, React or Claude Design. That choice is the tool's main strength: what lands in your project is code and components Relume maintains, not interface a model invented on the spot.
The reservations are about transparency rather than capability. Subscription prices render in JavaScript and appear nowhere in the page source, so a buyer cannot compare tiers without creating an account — and the pricing page currently shows two different tier sets side by side, a sign of a repricing in progress. The legal documentation is light for a product of this reach: no postal address, no GDPR or DPA wording, no subprocessor list, no retention period, and terms dating from February 2023. The privacy policy does state that customer data may feed AI training, with an opt-out in account settings — worth setting deliberately rather than leaving on default.
The practical limits are stated honestly by Relume itself. Webflow knowledge is required, copying components does not work in Safari, there is no mobile app and no documented public API, although paid plans can connect an MCP server that brings the library into Cursor, Claude, VS Code or Cline. For a Webflow or Figma studio shipping marketing sites, Relume is a credible accelerator with a free tier generous enough to judge it on. For anyone outside that toolchain, the fit is far less obvious.
