What is RoboLabs?
RoboLabs is a Lithuanian accounting company that sells its people and its software together. Every client is assigned a named accountant who understands the business, keeps the books continuous and stays reachable for advice; that accountant works inside ROBO, the platform RoboLabs built and keeps developing in-house. The company states the principle plainly: a responsible specialist plus a smart system.
The artificial intelligence sits in the least glamorous and most time-consuming part of bookkeeping, the primary documents. RoboLabs describes its document-processing solution as built on advanced technology and artificial intelligence that learns and continuously improves the accuracy of data extraction. Its learning AI robot recognises the document type, pulls out the key values and checks their logic and structure before exporting them into the accounting system. Clients hand over paperwork however suits them: a photo or a scan, a forwarded electronic document, an upload into the platform, the mobile app, or an email address created specifically for their company.
Seven services sit around that core: full bookkeeping, company formation, primary document processing, payroll, business-process consulting, financial and legal services arranged through partners, and rental of the accounting system on its own. The platform documents sixteen functional blocks, among them bank and payment integrations, e-commerce and marketplace connections, cash registers and POS systems, real-time reporting, an analytics tool that allocates income and costs to a project or an employee, invoice approval, electronic HR documents and work-schedule planning.
Accounts are opened for every employee of the client company, with different permission levels; staff file electronic requests and follow expense advances, leave balances, contract changes and salary history. The system is reachable 24/7 from a computer, tablet or phone, in Lithuanian and in English, and is connected to state institutions, the main banks and payment providers, cash registers, POS systems and trading portals, with direct API integration available on request.
RoboLabs is explicit about the limits of the automation: robots handle a large share of the repetitive work, but its professional accountants still deal with clients, verify what the robots produced and settle complex tax and accounting questions. It claims more than 1,300 client companies, covers the whole of Lithuania, carries accountants' civil liability insurance, and provides system updates, including those driven by changes in the law, at no cost.

- No public API documentation: it has to be requested, and no App Store or Google Play link is published even though the mobile app is presented as a normal way to submit documents
- The privacy policy is dated 24 May 2018 and the terms of service 7 October 2019, well before the AI features the site now advertises
- The site never says whether client documents feed the training of its AI robot, and offers no way to opt out
- Leaving in the first twelve months costs 50% of the monthly fee, a minimum of EUR 100 plus VAT, and every discount granted must be repaid

There is no permanent free plan; a free trial of the ROBO platform is available on request. The lowest published paid entry point is EUR 20 per month excluding VAT, for Plan 20 of the system-only rental. The full accounting service starts higher, at EUR 80 per month excluding VAT under a price reserved for new clients who are not VAT payers and pay in advance, or EUR 100 per month excluding VAT for clients who are not VAT payers. GDPR overview
Implementation is concrete rather than declarative. The privacy policy states that visitor and user data is collected, stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, the Lithuanian Law on the Legal Protection of Personal Data, the Law on Electronic Communications and supervisory authority instructions, and it names a data protection officer reachable at hello@robolabs.lt. Rights of access, rectification, erasure, suspension of processing and objection are set out. A full data processing agreement is also published on the site: it cites Regulation (EU) 2016/679, requires Article 32 technical and organisational measures, grants an audit right once per calendar year, obliges RoboLabs to notify a breach in writing within 24 hours, and forbids processing outside the EU or EEA without prior written consent. The privacy policy is dated 24 May 2018.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service everything you enter remains yours: RoboLabs states it makes no claim to your business data, content or information. In the same section, however, you grant RoboLabs full, worldwide, royalty-free rights to use the content you supply so that the service can be delivered, and the text adds that RoboLabs reserves all rights to use that data — wording much broader than the ownership guarantee printed beside it. Disclosure to third parties is limited to fraud prevention and law enforcement, legal, governmental or regulatory requirements, RoboLabs' lawyers in proceedings, and court orders, with a commitment to give reasonable notice. In the published data processing agreement the client is the controller and RoboLabs the processor.
Reuse rights
You may use your own data freely inside the platform, which is reachable around the clock from any device and lists every submitted document with its processing status and your accountant's comments. When the contract ends, access is cut off immediately and historical data is exported to CSV or Excel only if you ask for it, so the request has to be made deliberately; where extra work is disputed, the archive returned covers only data received up to the end of the last month. RoboLabs' own software is off limits: you may not store, download, share, sell, distribute, transfer or modify its code without written consent. Screenshots are allowed for illustration only, without visible RoboLabs comments or third-party content, and imply no endorsement; no licence is granted over the RoboLabs name or logo. Under the data processing agreement, RoboLabs forwards data-subject requests to you and assists with rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction.

Hosting summary
All information held in the RoboLabs system is stored on AWS servers in Germany, described by the company as meeting the highest standards, with no copies kept on staff computers or physically in its offices. An independent DNS and geolocation check is consistent with this: the site resolves to an Amazon address in Frankfurt am Main. The published data processing agreement goes further than the hosting statement, committing RoboLabs not to transmit, make accessible or process client personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area without the controller's prior written consent; transfers beyond that perimeter require a separate written agreement using mechanisms approved by the European Commission or the Lithuanian data protection inspectorate. Traffic between browser and server is protected by 256-bit SSL, user passwords are encrypted, servers holding personal data are reachable only by authorised staff through a password-protected certificate, and employees are bound by written confidentiality undertakings. Two-factor authentication can be enabled individually or company-wide. Lithuanian law governs. No security certification is published.

RoboLabs is not a piece of software looking for a market; it is an accounting firm that decided to build its own tools and now sells both. That choice explains most of what it does well. A named accountant carries the relationship, the ROBO platform carries the volume, and the artificial intelligence is pointed at the one job where it earns its keep: reading primary documents. The company is candid that robots handle the repetitive share while accountants verify their work and take on the complex tax questions, which is a more honest framing than this market usually offers.
The contractual side is unusually transparent. A complete data processing agreement is published in the open, the hosting is named rather than hinted at — AWS servers in Germany — and there is a written undertaking not to process personal data outside the EU or EEA without consent, an annual audit right and a 24-hour breach notification.
The reservations are real. The legal documents date from 2018 and 2019, before the AI features now on the front page; nothing is said about whether client documents train the models, and no opt-out is offered. Published prices are all 'from' figures excluding VAT, and the two cheapest service tiers are conditional. There is no public API documentation and no store link for a mobile app the site otherwise treats as a normal way to work. Leaving in the first year is expensive.
The decisive limit is geography. The filings, the integrations and the legal frame are all Lithuanian. For a small or mid-sized company in Lithuania, or a foreign group with a subsidiary there, this is a serious proposition. Elsewhere it has no purpose.
