Robopost
Robopost is an AI-assisted social media manager that schedules and automates posts across 12 networks from one dashboard, generating captions, ideas, images and short videos. Built by Tokyo-based Stack Forward LLC. Free plan; paid from 9 USD monthly.
What is Robopost?
Robopost is a social media management and automation platform published by Stack Forward LLC, a Tokyo company, online since 2023 and claiming more than 20,000 users. Its stated promise is to manage your social accounts in one place with AI, so that publishing keeps running while you get on with the business.
The tool connects 12 channels: Facebook Pages, Instagram (images, videos, Reels and Stories), Threads, X, TikTok, YouTube (videos and Shorts), Google Business Profile, LinkedIn profiles and pages, Pinterest boards, WordPress (self-hosted and .com), Telegram channels and Bluesky. Some networks impose their own conditions: Instagram needs a Creator or Business account and Stories a Business account, TikTok a Business account. Publishing is presented in three steps: choose the platforms, compose the post, then publish immediately or schedule it.
Automation is the second pillar. New items coming from an RSS feed, WordPress, Ghost, Shopify or WooCommerce can trigger a post on their own, Zapier extends the chain to other applications, and evergreen content can be reposted on a recurring interval.
The AI layer is unusually wide for the price. It drafts post ideas from a prompt or a URL in a chosen tone, writes captions, suggests hashtags, checks spelling and rewrites sentences, generates images with Dall-E and FLUX PRO, produces faceless videos, adds automatic subtitles and cuts long videos into shorts. Voice cloning and knowledge bases that train the AI on your own business data are documented. The idea generator is described by the publisher as trained on millions of successful posts, and a post can equally be built from an image, a video or a web page.
Around that sit a shareable calendar, post collections and tags, a media gallery, Canva and bulk CSV imports, team members with role-based permissions, post approval and internal notes, a unified social inbox covering seven of the networks, Google Business review replies, post analytics, per-client Brands workspaces with white labelling, and a documented REST API.
Two gaps are worth naming. Analytics are unavailable on X, Google Business Profile, Telegram and WordPress, and there is no native mobile app: Robopost runs entirely in a browser, on Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari depending on the operating system.

- Reply to comments and Google Business reviews from one unified inbox
When to use Robopost / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Robopost is the right fit.
When to use Robopost
- Freelancers and solopreneurs who run every social account themselves and want scheduling, captions and visuals from one low-cost tool
- Small marketing agencies handling several clients, with separate Brands workspaces and white-labelled client access on the Pro and Agency plans
- Small and medium businesses with a lean in-house team, since unlimited team members, role-based permissions and post approval start at the Basic plan
- Content creators who repurpose video and need AI faceless videos, automatic subtitles and long-form-to-shorts conversion in the same place they schedule
- Blogs and online stores that want publishing on autopilot from RSS, WordPress, Ghost, Shopify, WooCommerce or Zapier
When not to use Robopost
- Regulated organisations that require a signed data processing agreement and a published sub-processor list, neither of which Robopost provides
- Buyers who need audited security, as no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification is claimed and the security policy amounts to five general principles
- Teams whose reporting depends on X, Google Business Profile, Telegram or WordPress analytics, which are explicitly unsupported
- Companies bound to European data residency, since user data is transferred to Japan and no EU hosting option is offered
- Anyone wanting a native mobile app: the product runs in a browser only, with no iOS or Android application
How to use Robopost
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Sign up on the Robopost dashboard; the permanent Free plan opens without a payment card
- Check each network's prerequisites first: Instagram needs a Professional account, TikTok a Business account, LinkedIn Super Admin rights on the page, Facebook a page role and two-factor authentication
- Connect your channels through their authorisation flow, following the documentation page dedicated to each network
- Add your media, or import them from Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive or Canva
- Select one or several networks for the post you are about to write
- Compose the post, or let the AI draft ideas, captions and hashtags from a prompt or a URL, choosing the tone
- Preview the result network by network and clean the text with the AI spell checker
- Publish immediately or schedule the post, and switch on automatic reposting at the interval and frequency you want
- Build an automation so that new items from RSS, WordPress, Ghost, Shopify or WooCommerce publish on their own, from a post template or AI generation
- Invite your team, set roles and approvals, and manage plan, payment method or cancellation from Account then Subscription
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Twelve networks covered, including Threads, Bluesky, Telegram, WordPress and Google Business Profile, a combination rarely found in one tool
- A broad AI set for the price: ideas, captions, hashtags, images, faceless videos, subtitles and long-form-to-shorts conversion
- Low paid entry point at 9 USD per month for Starter, above a permanent free plan offering 3 channels and 10 posts a month
- A one-off Lifetime Deal for buyers who would rather not take on another subscription
- Unlimited team members from the Basic plan, with white labelling and separate client workspaces for agencies
- Documented REST API and detailed public documentation, with one page per channel
- Billing in US dollars, Japanese yen or euros, conversion fees absorbed by the publisher, and a discount for non-profit organisations
Cons
- No data processing agreement published, and no list of sub-processors, although the privacy policy refers to operational partners for billing, storage, security and web analytics
- No security certification displayed, neither SOC 2 nor ISO 27001, and the information security policy comes down to five general principles
- No documented way to keep customer data out of AI model training
- Analytics unavailable on X, Google Business Profile, Telegram and WordPress, and a social inbox that covers only 7 of the 12 channels
- No native mobile application: the product is browser-only
- Refunds are partial, never pro rata, and are void once a small quota of AI credits has been consumed
- Japanese law governs the contract with exclusive jurisdiction at the district court of the head office, and data is transferred to Japan with no EU hosting option
Pricing & Plans
Robopost is sold on a freemium basis. A permanent free plan costs nothing and covers 3 channels, 10 posts per month, 1 automation and a small monthly allowance of AI credits. The lowest paid entry point is the Starter plan at 9 USD per month, or 90 USD per year, an annual rate the publisher presents as two months free. Above it, Basic is 19 USD per month and 190 USD per year, Pro 39 and 390 USD, Agency 69 and 690 USD. A one-off Lifetime Deal replaces the subscription altogether at 149, 299, 699 and 1,399 USD for the same four tiers. Billing is offered in US dollars, Japanese yen and euros, with monthly rates starting at 8 EUR or 1,300 JPY; elsewhere prices are shown in US dollars and converted at the day's mid-market rate, the conversion fee being borne by the publisher. Payment is by bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Plan changes are billed pro rata, cancellation is possible at any time but the remaining days are not refunded, and a partial refund may be requested within 14 days on monthly plans or 30 days on annual and Lifetime plans, subject to exclusions. Unpaid invoices carry late interest of 14.6% per year, and internet access costs remain the customer's.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Robopost handles your data.
GDPR overview
Robopost publishes a dedicated GDPR privacy policy, separate from its general one, covering residents of the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. It names its legal bases explicitly: legitimate interests, art. 6(1)(d); performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b); consent, art. 6(1)(a); legal obligation, art. 6(1)(c). It lists the rights to information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without retroactive effect, and complaints may be lodged with the supervisory authority of your residence, workplace or the place of the alleged breach. Transfers to Japan rely on the European Commission adequacy decision. The controller is Stack Forward LLC in Tokyo, reachable at contact@stackforward.dev; the policy took effect on 15 May 2023 and was revised on 22 May 2023. No Article 27 representative is named, and no processing agreement is published.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of use you keep copyright on what you publish: the company acquires no copyright on the user's postings. In exchange you grant Stack Forward LLC a free, open-ended, worldwide licence to reproduce, adapt and transmit that content as needed to provide, maintain, improve and promote the services, and you agree not to exercise your moral rights against the company or its assignees. Content supplied by the service comes to you under a private, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence. The privacy policy states that personal information is not sold to third parties and that Google data is not shared with any third-party service. Backing up your own posts remains your responsibility.
Reuse rights
You may reuse your own output freely. Nothing in the terms restricts republishing, editing or monetising the posts, captions, images and videos you create, and no credit to Robopost is required; material supplied by the service comes under a private, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence, so it is meant for your own use rather than for resale as a product in itself. On the publisher's side, the privacy policy lists what is collected: name or handle, email, address, uploaded photos and videos, payment method, identifiers for connected external services, cookie identifiers, device and operating system data, activity history on the site and in the app, and location. These serve registration and authentication, usage history, billing, service improvement, market and marketing analysis, service notices, replies to enquiries, and enforcement of the terms. No sensitive personal information is collected. Operational partners may be involved for billing, data storage, security and web analytics, though none is named; under Japan's APPI, wider disclosure requires prior consent, with the usual exceptions, and anonymised information may be produced. Google and YouTube data follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, Limited Use included. One thing is never addressed: whether customer content is used to train AI models.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Robopost says little about where data physically sits. The GDPR privacy policy states that personal data is transferred to Japan, and justifies that transfer by the European Commission's adequacy decision recognising Japan's level of protection for personal data. That is the only jurisdiction named. No region, no data centre and no hosting provider, whether AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or another, is identified anywhere on the site, and no European hosting option is offered. Two technical observations complete the picture without contradicting it: the domain sits behind Cloudflare on an anycast address, and the site's static media are served from a DigitalOcean Spaces CDN endpoint. Both concern delivery of the website itself, not customer data. In short: Japanese jurisdiction, adequacy-based transfers for European users, and nothing published below that level. Anyone with a data residency requirement should put the question to the publisher directly, because the site does not answer it.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Robopost.
- The licence you grant over your own posts is broad: free of charge, open-ended and worldwide, extending as far as promotion of the service, and you waive your moral rights against the publisher and its assignees
- No processing agreement, no named sub-processors and no security certification: the information security policy in force since 20 May 2023 is five general principles, which leaves a careful buyer very little to audit
- Nothing states whether your content trains AI models, and no opt-out is documented, so think twice before uploading confidential material or a client's unreleased assets
- Exercising your data rights is not free: the general privacy policy charges 1,000 yen per access, rectification or deletion request
- Refunds are partial only and lapse once you have used more than 2 to 8 AI credits depending on the plan, unpaid invoices carry 14.6% annual interest, and any dispute falls under Japanese law before the district court of the head office
- The homepage testimonials are signed with generic names such as Alice Johnson, Bob Smith or Catherine Lee: read them as illustrations, not as verifiable customer references
- Automating publication at volume quietly removes the pause where judgement used to sit: AI captions pushed to twelve networks at once spread a mistake as fast as a good idea, and rereading what goes out stays a human job
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low. Robopost is a browser product with nothing to install: sign up and the Free plan opens without a payment card. Supported browsers: Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows, Chrome, Safari and Firefox on macOS, Chrome on Android, Chrome and Safari on iOS. Friction sits on the networks, not the tool: Instagram requires a Professional account, TikTok a Business account, LinkedIn Super Admin rights on the page, Facebook a page role plus two-factor authentication. Each channel has its own documentation page, and the first post is announced in three steps. Only the REST API calls for technical skill.

Should you pick Robopost?
Robopost packs an unusual amount into a low price. Twelve networks, an AI block that covers ideas, captions, hashtags, images, faceless videos and subtitles, a documented REST API and white labelling all start at 9 USD per month, with a permanent free plan below that and a one-off Lifetime Deal alongside. For freelancers, creators, small businesses and small agencies, that density is hard to match, and the Lifetime Deal is the argument that most clearly sets it apart in a market built on subscriptions.
The reservation is not about the product, it is about governance. There is no data processing agreement, no published list of sub-processors, no security certification, and no documented way to keep your content out of AI model training. The information security policy is five general principles. Data rights do exist under a dedicated GDPR policy, but exercising them costs 1,000 yen per request. The contract runs under Japanese law with exclusive jurisdiction at the district court of the head office, and data is transferred to Japan, a country the European Commission recognises as adequate, but which is still not EU hosting.
That split makes the decision reasonably simple. If you publish marketing content and your compliance requirements are light, Robopost is one of the better value propositions in its category, and the free plan lets you confirm that without spending anything. If you work in a regulated field, handle client data under contract, or need a signed agreement before a tool touches your accounts, put these questions to the publisher before committing. The features are there; the paperwork larger buyers expect is not.
