Overview

What is Safetic LMS?

Safetic LMS is a learning management system built by the Slovak software house EMPIRE SYSTEMS, s.r.o. for one narrow job: running the occupational health and safety and fire protection training that Slovak law makes compulsory, and evidencing it to inspectors. It launched on 8 January 2017 and is sold turnkey rather than as bare software, arriving with dozens of ready-made interactive courses and with the complete documentation the National Labour Inspectorate expects to see.

The publisher positions it as the first Slovak safety e-learning platform to build artificial intelligence into the management and analysis of training processes. The stated role of the AI is analytical: algorithms work over large volumes of training data to help customers improve how they train, and support dynamic, interactive course material. The publisher is unusually explicit about the limit of that claim. Course content is not generated by AI — every course is written by safety specialists and aligned with current Slovak legislation.

Two audiences are named. The first is safety service providers holding the VVZ 01.1 authorisation issued by the National Labour Inspectorate, who resell training to their own client companies. The second is medium and large employers with in-house safety and fire-protection technicians. The architecture follows that split: a provider administers many client companies, each client has sites, each site has employees, and managerial access can be delegated to the client's own HR staff. Each customer runs on its own instance, usually a dedicated subdomain.

Day to day, the system absorbs the repetitive work. Credentials go out automatically, employees enter a course without typing a username or password, record books are sent to the learner and the HR manager the moment a course is completed, refresher deadlines trigger reminders, and periodic reports summarise certificates issued. Study can be personalised at three levels — company, site and individual — so a machine manual or an evacuation plan becomes part of one person's obligatory reading. Record books are archived digitally and the system is backed up regularly.

Courses are SCORM, readable on mobile, produced for hearing-impaired employees, and available in Slovak, English, Czech, Hungarian, Ukrainian and Russian. The publisher reports more than 100 platform customers and over 138,000 users.

What it does

  • Assign statutory safety and fire-protection training to employees and track completion against legal deadlines
  • Administer many client companies from a single system, delegating manager access to each client's HR staff
  • Send access credentials, deadline reminders and completed record books automatically, without manual follow-up
  • Produce periodic reports on certificates issued and training deadlines met
  • Personalise study at company, site and individual level by attaching documents such as machine manuals or evacuation plans
  • Archive record books digitally and keep the system backed up on a schedule
  • Exchange employee data with a HR information system, by file export and import or by an automated API link

When to use Safetic LMS / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Safetic LMS is the right fit.

When to use Safetic LMS

  • Safety and fire-protection service providers holding the Slovak VVZ 01.1 authorisation, who deliver training to their own client companies
  • Medium and large employers with in-house safety technicians who must run and evidence periodic legal training
  • HSE and safety managers responsible for refresher deadlines, record books and inspection readiness
  • HR and personnel departments that want training assignments driven from their existing HR information system
  • Slovak employers with multilingual workforces who need the same safety course in Slovak, English, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian or Czech

When not to use Safetic LMS

  • Organisations outside Slovakia: the courses, the time allowances and the record books are built for Slovak law, and the publisher makes no legal-fit claim elsewhere
  • Companies looking for a general-purpose corporate learning platform, which the same publisher sells as a separate product
  • Buyers who need a published price list or a self-service sign-up, since every route runs through a sales conversation
  • Teams expecting AI-generated course content, which the publisher explicitly states the system does not produce
  • Anyone needing a native mobile application: study is browser-based, and no iOS or Android app exists

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Genuinely specialised in one regulatory framework rather than being a general LMS retrofitted to safety training
  • Delivered turnkey, including the inspectorate documentation the customer would otherwise have to produce
  • Heavy automation of the recurring cycle: credentials, reminders, record books and reporting need no manual chasing
  • Established publisher trading since 2005, with the product itself live since 2017 and more than 100 platform customers claimed
  • Native integration with six Slovak HR information systems, and the publisher owns all of its systems outright with no third-party licence dependency
  • Substantial public product documentation and an openly reachable demonstration portal
  • Multilingual course content in six languages, useful for workforces that are not exclusively Slovak-speaking

Cons

  • No price is published anywhere: no pricing page, no tier, no figure, everything goes through a quotation
  • No terms of service or licence conditions are published, so contractual commitments cannot be checked before contact
  • The privacy policy explicitly covers only the marketing website, leaving learner data ownership, retention and location undocumented
  • No data processing agreement is offered, no subprocessor is named and no hosting country or region is declared
  • No security certification of the publisher: neither ISO 27001 nor SOC 2 is claimed anywhere
  • The AI contribution is described in general terms — data analysis and dynamic content — without technical detail or a measurable example
  • No free trial, no self-service sign-up and no mobile application; the site and most documentation are in Slovak

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Safetic LMS handles your data.

GDPR overview

GDPR is addressed concretely, though for the website rather than the platform. The privacy policy of 6 October 2025 names Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll., sets out a purpose-by-purpose table with legal bases, data categories and retention periods, lists the full set of data subject rights, gives info@empiresystems.sk as the contact for exercising them, and names the Slovak Data Protection Office as the supervisory authority. It states that no automated individual decision-making with legal effect takes place on the site. Separately, the publisher claims its LMS systems are fully GDPR-compatible and delivers GDPR documentation as part of the Safetic package. No data processing agreement is offered to customers, no subprocessor is named, and no data protection officer is designated.

Who owns the data?

The published privacy policy, dated 6 October 2025, names EMPIRE SYSTEMS, s.r.o. as data controller and states that it processes personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. Data may be disclosed to its own staff bound by confidentiality, to processors engaged under Article 28 contracts, and to public authorities where the law requires it. The scope of that document is narrow and it says so in its first line: it applies to the website www.empiresystems.sk. It does not describe who owns or controls learner records inside the Safetic LMS platform. Ownership of training data held in the system is not addressed in any public document, so it has to be settled in the contract.

Reuse rights

No public terms of service or licence conditions are published for Safetic LMS, so the site says nothing about whether a customer may reuse, export or redistribute the data held in the platform, and nothing about the licensing of the course content itself. What the product does show is practical portability rather than a stated right: courses are delivered in the SCORM standard, employees can be imported in bulk, record books and completion certificates are sent out automatically to the learner and the HR manager, and archiving of those record books can be configured on the customer's own side. The publisher also states that it built and fully owns all of its systems and pays no third-party licence fees. None of this amounts to a published reuse permission, and a prospective buyer should have export rights, content licensing and post-termination data return written into the agreement.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Retention periods are published only for the marketing website, not for the learning platform. For website contacts, enquiries sent through the form or by e-mail are kept for the duration of handling plus six months; data tied to a quotation or contract is kept for the life of the contract plus the archiving periods required by accounting law; marketing data is kept until consent is withdrawn; cookie data depends on the cookie type; and accounting records are kept for ten years under Slovak law. Data is held only as long as the purpose or a statutory period requires, then securely deleted or anonymised. For learner records inside Safetic LMS, no retention period is published. Archiving of record books is a configurable feature that can be operated on the customer's side, and the system is backed up regularly, but no duration is stated.

Hosting summary

No hosting jurisdiction is declared for the Safetic LMS platform. The site names no hosting country, no region and no infrastructure provider, and no trust or security page exists. The privacy policy, which covers only the marketing website, states that some third-party services such as Google and Meta may transfer anonymised or pseudonymised data outside the EU and EEA, and that such transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. That is a clause about website analytics, not a statement about where platform data lives. Processors are described only by category — hosting, IT services, LMS systems, e-mail marketing and analytics tools — and none is named. In practice, customer instances run on subdomains operated by the publisher or on the customer's own domain, and the publisher states that it ensures continuous operation of its cloud systems. Anyone with a data residency requirement will need the hosting location, the subprocessor list and a data processing agreement in writing, because none of the three is published.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Safetic LMS.

  • The privacy policy states in its first line that it covers only the website www.empiresystems.sk: nothing published describes what happens to learner data inside the platform, so retention, ownership and location must be settled in the contract
  • No terms of service or licence conditions are published, so no contractual commitment can be verified before entering a sales conversation
  • The publisher was founded on 25 May 2005 but Safetic LMS only launched on 8 January 2017: the company's age is not the product's track record
  • The headline counters on the homepage cover every product the publisher sells, not Safetic alone; the figures specific to Safetic are over 100 customers and more than 138,000 users
  • The public demonstration portal shows an unfilled authorisation number template and a fictitious demo company: nothing on it should be read as a real credential
  • Automated deadline reminders and automatic record book issuance can create a false sense of compliance if nobody verifies that the training was actually understood; statutory training remains the employer's legal responsibility, not the system's
  • No security certification of the publisher is claimed and no hosting jurisdiction is declared, which matters because the system holds employee-level training and identity records
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low, because the work is done with the publisher rather than alone. The solution is delivered turnkey with documentation, basic onboarding and support included, and the publisher also guides the rollout to the end clients of a safety services company. No infrastructure is required: instances are hosted per customer. Setup is configuration work — creating clients, sites and study groups, importing employees, assigning courses and setting reminder rules. The only genuinely technical step is connecting a HR information system, either by file export and import or by an automated API link scoped with the publisher.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does Safetic LMS cost?
No price is published. The publisher states that the cost of its LMS systems depends on several parameters and is paid as licence fees: the number of users, the number of courses, graphic adaptation to your corporate design manual and any bespoke development. Pricing is obtained by requesting a quotation.
Does Safetic include the documentation required by the Slovak National Labour Inspectorate?
Yes. The publisher states that fully prepared documentation for the National Labour Inspectorate is delivered with the Safetic solution, along with course scope and content, time allowances, knowledge testing and record books that comply with current legislation.
Is the course content generated by artificial intelligence?
No. The publisher states explicitly that educational content is not AI-generated and that all courses are produced by occupational safety specialists in line with Slovak legislation. The AI is applied to the management and analysis of training processes and to supporting dynamic, interactive course material.
Who is Safetic LMS designed for?
Two audiences are named: safety and fire-protection service companies holding the VVZ 01.1 authorisation issued by the National Labour Inspectorate, who deliver training to their own clients, and companies that employ their own safety and fire-protection technicians.
Can Safetic be connected to a HR information system?
Yes. Employee data can be exchanged either by exporting and importing files, since the partner HR systems can export directly in the Safetic format, or by an automated API link, which the publisher asks you to discuss for your specific HR system. Six Slovak HR systems are named as partners.
In which languages are the courses available?
Course versions are offered in Slovak, English, Czech, Hungarian, Ukrainian and Russian. The demonstration portal interface is available in Slovak and English.
Is there a mobile application?
No. No iOS or Android application exists for Safetic LMS, and the site displays no store badge. Courses are designed to be studied on mobile devices through the browser.
Can the product be seen before buying?
Yes. A public demonstration page offers playable course extracts and animation samples, and a Safetic demonstration portal is reachable online. Otherwise the publisher invites you to request a demonstration, a quotation or a consultation.
What is personalised e-learning in this system?
It is a feature that allows additional educational material to be attached to the basic mandatory courses at three levels: company, site and individual employee. A machine operating manual or an internal directive can therefore become part of one specific employee's obligatory study.
How large is the installed base?
The publisher reports more than 100 customers on the Safetic platform and over 138,000 platform users. Company-wide figures covering all of its products are higher, but they should not be attributed to Safetic alone.
Conclusion

Should you pick Safetic LMS?

Safetic LMS is a narrow, mature product rather than a general learning platform, and that focus is its main strength. It solves a specific recurring obligation for Slovak employers and for the safety service companies that serve them: assigning statutory safety and fire-protection training, chasing refresher deadlines, issuing and archiving record books, and being able to show an inspector that all of it happened. Delivering the regulatory documentation alongside the software removes work the customer would otherwise carry, and the automation around credentials, reminders and reporting is where most of the day-to-day value sits.

The AI positioning deserves a measured reading. The publisher claims to be the first Slovak safety e-learning platform to embed AI in the management and analysis of training, and it is refreshingly clear that course content is not AI-generated. But the analytical contribution is described only in general terms, with no technical detail and no measurable outcome, so the AI should be treated as a supporting capability rather than the reason to buy.

The weak point is disclosure, not the product. There is no published price, no terms of service, no licence conditions, no data processing agreement and no named subprocessor, and the privacy policy covers only the marketing website — nothing published describes what happens to learner data inside the platform, where it is hosted or how long it is kept. Buyers will have to settle data ownership, export rights, retention and hosting in the contract rather than verify them beforehand.

For a Slovak organisation with a real compliance obligation, an established publisher trading since 2005, an installed base of over 100 customers and integrations with the local HR systems make this a credible choice. Outside Slovakia the legal fit is simply not claimed.
