Overview

What is Salesloft?

Salesloft presents itself as The Predictive Revenue System and its product as a Revenue Orchestration Platform, which it defines as a system that unifies sales, marketing and customer success by automating workflows, prioritizing buyer signals and optimizing engagement across the entire revenue cycle. The company claims to have created that category, and points to outside recognition: Leader in the Forrester Wave for Revenue Orchestration Platforms for B2B in Q3 2024, Customer's Choice in the 2024 Gartner Voice of the Customer for Sales Engagement Applications, and G2 Enterprise Sales Engagement Leader for seventeen consecutive quarters. The platform is organized in modules. Cadence builds and runs multichannel sequences. Rhythm turns buyer signals into a prioritized list of daily actions. Conversations records, transcribes and analyzes calls for coaching. Deals manages opportunities, Forecast projects revenue and Analytics supplies dashboards and a Command Center, while Chat Agents, inherited from Drift, convert website visitors into pipeline and the Enterprise Data Platform unifies first and third-party buyer signals. The AI is not left as a slogan. Conductor AI sits alongside a catalog of individually named agents: Account Research, Person Research, Buyer Identification, Ask Salesloft, Rhythm Prioritizer, Rhythm Priority Account, AI Email Steps for Cadence, AI Email Tasks for Plays and the Generative AI Email Assistant. Salesloft says the underlying data model draws on more than five billion buyer-seller interactions, and an MCP server exposes pipeline, deals, accounts and call data to any MCP-compatible AI application, Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot being named. Delivery is a web application, an iOS and Android app mirroring the web interface, and a public REST API with its own developer portal. Integrations start with Salesforce and include Highspot, 6sense and DocuSign, among more than 180 applications and a marketplace of 284 partners. The vendor claims 4,000+ customers and over 100 million emails and calls placed monthly, a commissioned Forrester TEI study of April 2025 reporting 236% ROI over three years and a 12% lift in close rates, and results within the first ten days. The publisher is Salesloft, Inc., operating from Atlanta with offices in London and Mexico; since the MSA of 10 February 2026, the Services are provided by Salesloft, Inc. and its affiliates including Clari Inc.

When to use Salesloft / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Salesloft is the right fit.

When to use Salesloft

  • Structured B2B sales organizations running dozens to hundreds of reps who want one system instead of a shelf of point tools
  • RevOps teams consolidating their stack, as Wrike did when it reported around USD 350,000 of tooling savings
  • Companies already standardized on a CRM, Salesforce first, that want engagement, pipeline and forecast data synced back both ways
  • Security-conscious buyers who need SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 evidence together with role-based governance and permissions
  • Enterprises in the sectors Salesloft targets, professional services, manufacturing, software and medical devices and logistics, alongside named customers such as 3M, IBM, Wrike and NFP

When not to use Salesloft

  • Individual users and very small teams, since there is no self-serve signup and every purchase runs through a negotiated Order Form
  • Buyers who need to see a price before the first call, because no amount and no tier name is published anywhere
  • Anyone counting on a permanent free plan or an advertised free trial: Trials Programs are discretionary, provided AS IS, without SLA or support
  • Healthcare workflows requiring HIPAA compliance, which the MSA excludes outright, stating that Salesloft is not a Business Associate
  • Teams that would scrape data, run spam campaigns or build a competing product, all barred by the MSA, and anyone under 18

How to use Salesloft

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Start with the self-guided product tour, which needs no contact with a salesperson
  2. Request the 15-minute call through the Talk to Sales form, as there is no self-serve signup
  3. Settle commercial terms in a negotiated Order Form covering a defined Subscription Term
  4. Sign your team in through accounts.salesloft.com, using enterprise SSO or your identity provider
  5. Connect the CRM for bi-directional sync, then wire up the email and telephony channels
  6. Add the marketplace integrations you need, and log in separately to Drift for website chat
  7. Bring in the Professional Services team for implementation, onboarding and optimization
  8. Train users through Salesloft Academy, the Champions Hub and the daily Office Hours at 11 a.m. ET
  9. Install the iOS or Android app, which reproduces the same interface as the web platform
  10. For developers, work from the developer portal: REST API, OAuth, guides and API Logs

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Broad functional coverage, with engagement, conversation intelligence, pipeline, forecasting and website chat in a single platform
  • AI documented agent by agent rather than promised in the abstract, with in-product explanations of why each recommendation appears
  • Dense integration ecosystem: Salesforce first, more than 180 applications and a marketplace of 284 partners
  • An MCP server opens platform data to outside AI assistants, Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot among them
  • Documented security foundation: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, AES-256-GCM at rest, TLS 1.2+, privileged access management, MFA, bug bounty and annual audits
  • Hosting available both in the United States and in the EU, with a public DPA carrying EU and UK SCCs and two published sub-processor lists
  • A full mobile app on iOS and Android, and a short announced time to value of ten days

Cons

  • No public pricing whatsoever, neither an amount nor a tier name, so nothing can be budgeted without a sales call
  • No permanent free plan and no advertised free trial; the MSA's Trials Programs are discretionary, provided AS IS, without SLA or support
  • Clearly built for large accounts, which puts it out of reach of a small team
  • Nothing published on whether customer data is used to train AI models, and no documented way to opt out of such training
  • No Article 27 EU representative named although the company is established outside the EU, and a Platform Privacy Notice still dated 22 March 2023
  • Not designed for HIPAA compliance, with prohibited data and High-Risk Activities excluded by contract
  • A two-entity contractual structure since February 2026, Salesloft, Inc. and Clari Inc., with separate SLAs and support policies depending on the service purchased
Pricing

Pricing & Plans

Salesloft publishes no price. Its pricing page announces packages designed for results, lists platform capabilities and then redirects any pricing question to a contact form: extraction from the page returned no amount and no tier name, in the static HTML as well as in the rendered content. The single route is the Talk to Sales form for a 15-minute call, after which terms are set in a negotiated Order Form covering a Subscription Term. No permanent free plan is announced and no free trial is advertised: clause 2.9 of the MSA merely allows Trials Programs, that is trials, early access, beta, free tier or pilot, granted at Salesloft's sole discretion, subject to registration, terminable at any time and provided AS IS. Clause 5.3 provides for a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees in certain termination cases.

No pricing tier is publicly named
  • the pricing page speaks of packages and included capabilities
  • without a price grid
Plan 3
  • Trials Programs
  • a separate contractual category covering trials
  • early access
  • beta testing
  • free tier
  • pilots
  • limited releases
  • developer previews
Plan 4
  • Dialer and Messenger Plans
  • a specific addendum in the product-specific terms covering calling and SMS features

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Salesloft handles your data.

GDPR overview

Salesloft's security and compliance page claims ongoing compliance with the GDPR and with the CCPA/CPRA, and the company holds ISO 27701 certification for privacy information management. A Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into the MSA and carries the Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers rely first on the Data Privacy Framework, failing which on the EU SCCs (Modules 2 and 3) or the UK SCCs / IDTA A.1.0; the SCCs are governed by Irish law and Irish courts, with the Irish DPC as supervisory authority in Article 3(2) cases. Swiss transfers fall under the revised FADP, the FDPIC being competent. Data subjects in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are offered access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and complaint. The privacy contact is privacy@salesloft.com. One formal gap: no Article 27 EU representative is named in the documents collected, and the Platform Privacy Notice still dates from 22 March 2023.

Who owns the data?

The customer keeps its data. Clause 7.2 of the MSA makes the customer responsible for its Customer Data and has it warrant that it owns, or is sufficiently licensed to use, everything it uploads. Clause 3.1 leaves Salesloft and its licensors every right in the Services themselves, granting only a right of use. The Data Processing Addendum casts the customer as controller and Salesloft as processor. On termination, clause 5.3 allows Customer Data to be exported or downloaded on request within 90 days, after which Salesloft has no retention obligation. The Platform Privacy Notice adds that an authorized member of the organization can request deletion, though latency and residual backups are possible.

Reuse rights

Section 5 of the Platform Privacy Notice, effective 22 March 2023, states that data is used to deliver and maintain the services, for research and development, to understand usage and to resolve incidents. Statistical and de-identified information may be disclosed to other companies, provided no individual user is identified. Gmail data reached through Google OAuth carries stricter limits: reading, writing and modifying it serves only to compose, send, read and process email, never to serve advertisements, and no human reads it except with explicit consent, for security, under a legal obligation, or in aggregate form. Salesloft states that it adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Customers may reuse their own Customer Data freely, since they hold the rights to it, and may export or download it on request within 90 days of termination. What no collected document says, in either direction, is whether customer data feeds AI model training, and no exclusion option is documented.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Under section 10 of the Platform Privacy Notice, effective 22 March 2023, personal information is kept until an authorized member of your organization asks for it to be purged, and/or for as long as the purposes of collection require. Retention may be extended to meet legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes. Deletion requests are acted on quickly, but latency is possible and backups may survive the deletion; information already shared with other users may not be removed. Web behavior data, meaning cookies, clear gifs, flash cookies, counters and analytics tools, is kept up to one year after the cookie expires or after collection, and periods may vary by country. Contractually, clause 5.3 of the MSA allows Customer Data to be exported or downloaded on request within 90 days of the contract ending, after which no retention obligation remains.

Hosting summary

The Salesloft platform is hosted in Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud data centers located in the United States and in the European Union; the Drift platform runs on AWS in the United States only. The security page describes a containerized microservices architecture replicated across geographically distinct data centers, with 24x365 physical security, environmental controls, redundant power and redundant telecommunications. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM on top of the infrastructure provider's disk encryption, and in transit over HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or above; keys are managed and rotated automatically by the providers' key management services. Backups and business continuity and disaster recovery plans are reviewed periodically. International transfers are framed by the Data Privacy Framework, failing which by the EU or UK Standard Contractual Clauses. One technical detail should not be misread: salesloft.com resolves to 18.239.208.2, a CloudFront node (AS16509, Amazon) geolocated in Zaventem, Belgium. That is a content delivery point of presence serving the website, not a storage location; the data itself sits in the US and EU regions described above.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Salesloft.

  • Total pricing opacity: with no published amount and no tier, the real cost only appears inside a negotiated Order Form, at the end of a sales process
  • No published position on whether customer data trains AI models, and no documented opt-out, which is a blind spot for anyone entrusting the platform with prospect and customer data
  • Handing daily prioritization to Rhythm and email writing to the generative assistant can quietly erode a rep's own judgment and voice; the in-product explanations of each recommendation exist precisely so decisions stay reviewable rather than followed blindly
  • No Article 27 EU representative is named although the company is established outside the EU, and the Platform Privacy Notice still carries an effective date of 22 March 2023
  • Data return is limited to the 90 days following the end of the contract, after which Salesloft has no obligation to keep anything
  • The Services are not designed for HIPAA compliance, and prohibited data as well as High-Risk Activities are contractually excluded
  • Since the MSA of 10 February 2026 the Services come from Salesloft, Inc. and its affiliates including Clari Inc., with separate SLAs and support policies, notices going to Sunnyvale and a legal copy to legal@clari.com; Trials Programs, meanwhile, are AS IS, without SLA or support, and can be withdrawn at any time
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Moderate, and more organizational than technical. There is no self-signup: the process starts with a commercial conversation, then a bi-directional CRM connection and the wiring of email and telephony channels, the two steps that need admin rights and RevOps attention. Enterprise SSO and identity providers are supported. A dedicated Professional Services team handles implementation, onboarding and optimization, and training runs through Salesloft Academy, the Champions Hub and daily Office Hours. Salesloft claims productivity and visibility within the first ten days. Developers get a REST API, OAuth, guides and API Logs; the mobile app needs no extra training.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a Revenue Orchestration Platform?
Salesloft defines it as a system that unifies sales, marketing and customer success teams by automating workflows, prioritizing buyer signals and optimizing engagement across the entire revenue cycle. In practice, that means one platform covering prospecting, conversations, pipeline, deals and forecasting rather than a separate tool for each stage.
Does Salesloft connect to my CRM?
Yes, with bi-directional sync. Salesforce is the integration named first, and the platform claims more than 180 connected applications, with a marketplace listing 284 partners including Zoom, 6sense, ZoomInfo, Highspot, Seismic, LeanData, Orum, Cognism, Vidyard, Mindtickle and Reachdesk.
Is there an API?
Yes. A public REST API is documented on the developer portal at developers.salesloft.com, with OAuth authentication, guides and API Logs. Salesloft also runs an MCP server that exposes pipeline, deals, accounts and call data to MCP-compatible AI applications such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot.
How much does Salesloft cost?
No price is published. The pricing page carries no amount and no tier name, and the only route to a figure is the Talk to Sales form for a 15-minute call, after which terms are agreed in a negotiated Order Form.
Is there a free trial?
No public trial is advertised. Clause 2.9 of the MSA allows Trials Programs, covering trials, early access, beta testing, free tiers and pilots, but only at Salesloft's sole discretion, subject to registration, terminable at any time and provided AS IS without SLA or support.
Which security certifications does Salesloft hold?
SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701, with reports made available through the trust portal. The security page also documents AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, privileged access management, MFA, a bug bounty program and third-party risk management.
Where is my data hosted?
In AWS and Google Cloud data centers located in the United States and in the European Union. The Drift platform is hosted on AWS in the United States only. International transfers rely on the Data Privacy Framework, failing which on the EU or UK Standard Contractual Clauses.
Is a Data Processing Addendum available?
Yes. The DPA is public and incorporated into the MSA, with EU and UK Standard Contractual Clauses. Annex 3 points to two publicly maintained sub-processor lists, one for Salesloft and Drift, the other for Clari.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, on iOS and Android, reproducing the web interface so that no additional training is needed according to the publisher. Be aware that no App Store or Google Play link is published anywhere on the website, so the app has to be found through the store search.
Is my data used to train Salesloft's AI?
No document collected on the site says so, in either direction. Neither the MSA, nor the DPA, nor the Platform Privacy Notice, nor the security page addresses the training of AI models on customer data, and no opt-out from such training is documented.
Conclusion

Should you pick Salesloft?

Salesloft is a mature, unusually complete platform. Very few vendors put prospecting cadences, conversation intelligence, pipeline management, forecasting and website chat under one roof, and fewer still document their AI agent by agent instead of selling an abstract promise. The MCP server, which opens pipeline and call data to outside AI assistants, is a genuinely forward-looking move, and the security and compliance foundation, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, a public DPA with EU and UK Standard Contractual Clauses, published sub-processor lists and hosting in both the United States and the EU, is among the better documented in this category. The main reservation is not functional but informational. Pricing is entirely opaque: no amount, no tier, no self-serve path, only a negotiated Order Form after a sales call, which makes any comparison with competitors impossible before a commitment of time. Alongside it sits a conspicuous silence: none of the contractual or privacy documents published on the site says whether customer data is used to train AI models, and no opt-out is documented. Two secondary points deserve attention: the two-entity contractual structure in force since the MSA of 10 February 2026, where the Services are provided by Salesloft, Inc. and its affiliates including Clari Inc. with separate SLAs and support policies, and a Platform Privacy Notice still carrying an effective date of 22 March 2023. The target audience is clear, and it is not everyone: structured B2B sales organizations with a CRM already in place, enough seats to justify a negotiated contract, and a RevOps function able to run the CRM connection, the channel setup and the change management. For them the platform is a credible consolidation play. For anyone smaller, or anyone who needs to know the price before the first conversation, it is the wrong door.
