Sferal
Sferal is a European no-code platform that turns plain-language descriptions into working internal business tools — trackers, approval workflows and dashboards — each running in a dedicated, German-hosted environment with a real database, authentication and role-based permissions.
What is Sferal?
Sferal is a no-code platform that builds internal business software out of a conversation. Rather than specifying an application, the user describes a problem in ordinary language — tracking customer requests arriving by email, assigning them, spotting the overdue ones — and Sferal produces the working tool: a real database, a secure login, roles and permissions, and a dashboard. The company calls this the Human++ AI OS and aims it at mid-sized European businesses that run on operations rather than on engineering teams.
The pitch rests on four complaints Sferal says it gathered from more than a hundred companies: hours spent every week copying data between systems, the same questions asked over and over, IT quoting six months for a simple internal tool, and plenty of data but no clear view of what is happening. The platform answers them across three layers. The Intelligence layer connects AI to business data so questions can be asked in plain language. The Execution layer runs agents on repetitive or high-stakes tasks. The Orchestration layer chains those agents into multi-step workflows spanning departments, systems and time zones.
What comes out is meant to be production software, not a prototype: separate development and production databases, 50 GB of file storage, managed infrastructure, an authentication system and a customisable design template. Each customer works in a dedicated environment — the site compares it to having your own office instead of a desk in a shared one — hosted in Germany on EU infrastructure. Several large language models are available from day one, so the model can be chosen per task, and more than a hundred connectors link CRM, ERP, HR and finance tools; Slack, Salesforce, Jira and Hubspot are named. Deployment can be cloud or on-premise, and users are unlimited.
Sferal positions itself against three neighbours at once: it is not a chatbot, not Make or Zapier — which connect applications rather than build them — and not Notion or a spreadsheet. Published examples include delivery tracking, inventory, expense approvals, invoice tracking, quote generation, onboarding checklists and performance reviews. The publisher is SFERAL S.A., a Romanian company incorporated on 26 September 2024, with a five-person team led by founder Adrian Dragomir.

How to use Sferal
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Start the seven-day trial from the site: no credit card, EUR 20 in credits included
- Set the workspace up the way the company already runs, creating departments, projects and teams
- Invite colleagues and give each of them the right roles and permissions
- Add the sources the business runs on — PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, videos — or connect live systems, then tag them
- Describe the problem in plain language, as if explaining a task to a colleague
- Answer Sferal's clarifying questions, deciding who sees what and how alerts are sent
- Build the first agent in the no-code studio, or start from a marketplace template
- Connect the agent to a real process such as document handling, customer requests or quote replies
- Go live: the database, secure login and dashboard are created without a deployment step
- Monitor what is running, how it performs and what it costs, then ask for changes as needs evolve

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Sferal handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is explicit and unusually detailed. The privacy policy states compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and maps twenty-two processing activities, each with its purpose, legal basis, Sferal's role as controller or processor, and a retention period. Eight data subject rights are set out, including access, erasure, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, with a target response time of one month; requests go to contact@sferal.ai. Nine subprocessors are named with their data location and adequacy mechanism, transfers outside the EEA relying on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. A data processing agreement governs customer content. As the publisher is established in Romania, no Article 27 representative is required. No data protection officer is named, and the policy is published in Romanian only, last updated 10 May 2025.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms and conditions, customers keep their rights over content they lawfully upload, while granting Sferal a licence to use it for the purpose of delivering the service. Everything in the platform itself — software, trademarks, algorithms and interfaces — belongs to SFERAL S.A. or its licensors, and customers receive only a limited, non-exclusive right of use. The privacy policy sets out a dual role: Sferal acts as controller for account, billing and support data, and as processor when it handles documents and workflows on a customer's behalf. Customers remain solely responsible for the lawfulness of any personal data flowing through what they build. The About page claims no vendor lock-in.
Reuse rights
Customers may reuse the systems and outputs they build without asking further permission, subject to a limited, non-exclusive licence over the platform and to an explicit ban on copying, redistributing or reverse-engineering it. Sferal processes inputs and outputs to deliver the AI service, on contractual and legitimate-interest grounds, and applies AI inference to classification, extraction and analysis. Training or improving AI models happens only with the customer's prior, explicit consent, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time. Nine subprocessors are named — Intercom, Hotjar, OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral AI, TogetherAI, Magnetic IT, Stripe and n8n — and data may also be shared with affiliates and group entities, or transferred in a merger or asset sale. The terms warn that AI results are probabilistic and must be checked by a person before being relied upon, and that customers alone are accountable for the legal and ethical risk of the workflows they create.

Hosting summary
The homepage states that Sferal is hosted in Germany on secure EU infrastructure, and each customer receives a dedicated environment with separate development and production databases and 50 GB of storage. The privacy policy places six subprocessors inside the European Union — Intercom, Hotjar, Mistral AI, Magnetic IT, Stripe and n8n — and three in the United States: OpenAI, Anthropic and TogetherAI, all covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on that framework or on European Commission standard contractual clauses, with supplementary measures where appropriate, and are limited to what the service strictly requires. Security measures are described in detail: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, daily off-site backups plus weekly and monthly copies, least-privilege access control, logging of critical operations, periodic security audits, and isolated infrastructure reachable only by authorised technical staff. The publisher is established in Romania, so processing falls under EU jurisdiction. No hosting or security certification is claimed.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Sferal.
- The terms, privacy and cookie policies are published only in Romanian, so English-speaking buyers commit to documents they may never read in full
- Sferal's own terms advise against entering confidential or personal data into off-premise AI interfaces and recommend fictional data for testing, which sits awkwardly with the business systems the platform is sold to build
- AI results are probabilistic and must be verified by a person; customers are declared solely responsible for their own AI Act and GDPR compliance, including impact assessments
- Subscriptions renew automatically with only five days' notice, and amounts already paid or periods already activated are never refunded
- EU consumers explicitly waive the 14-day right of withdrawal as soon as the digital service is activated
- The subprocessor list can change through a simple policy update, with continued use counting as acceptance of the new subprocessor
- Delegating business logic to generated systems can erode a team's own grasp of its processes, while total vendor liability is capped at the fees paid over the previous twelve months
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low. No code and no development skills are required, and there is no deployment step because the infrastructure is fully managed. The requirements are a modern JavaScript-enabled browser, Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or later or an up-to-date mobile device, and a 10 Mbps connection. The real effort is organisational rather than technical: creating departments and projects, inviting users with the right roles, and tagging the source documents agents will draw on. Sferal claims first systems are built in hours. Customers remain responsible for their own AI and data protection impact assessments.

Should you pick Sferal?
Sferal occupies a position few competitors claim directly: rather than connecting existing applications to one another, it builds the application itself, from a description written in ordinary language. For an operations, HR or finance manager who has been told that IT needs six months, that is a genuinely different proposition, and the platform backs it with real infrastructure — a database, authentication, permissions and a production environment, not a prototype.
The sovereignty argument is coherent and, unusually, verifiable. The publisher is established in the European Union, hosting is in Germany, each customer gets an isolated environment, nine subprocessors are named with their location, and training on customer data requires prior explicit consent. Very few tools in this category publish that much. Pricing is equally legible at the entry point: EUR 35 per month with unlimited users, which will suit teams that would otherwise pay per seat.
The reservations are real, and they are mostly about maturity and transparency rather than the product. The company was incorporated in September 2024, shows a five-person team and one detailed customer case. Its terms, privacy and cookie policies exist only in Romanian, which is awkward for an English-language product sold across Europe, and the legal identity is contradictory: the terms name a Romanian S.A. while every footer credits Sferal, Inc.. No security certification is published, there is no public API, and the true cost is governed by credits and by the number of project slots rather than by the headline licence.
Worth a trial for European mid-sized companies with a concrete internal process to fix and no development team, particularly where data isolation matters. Worth clarifying first, with the vendor, which legal entity you are contracting with and what a realistic monthly credit consumption looks like.
