Simplora is an AI workspace built around the whole life of a meeting rather than around the transcript alone. It organises itself into four stages: before, during, after and beyond the conversation.
Before a call, Simplora assembles a preparation brief from the participants' profiles, what was said in earlier meetings, and material pulled from the tools you have connected. During the call, a feature the company calls Live AI works alongside you: it answers questions, offers guidance, surfaces relevant documents, helps facilitate the discussion, identifies speakers and translates in real time across the twenty-plus languages the application accepts. Afterwards, it produces structured notes, recaps, decisions and action items, shares them automatically if you wish, and pushes follow-ups into connected systems. Beyond any single call, it keeps a searchable memory so later conversations can draw on earlier ones.
Capture works three ways. Simplora can join a meeting as a participant on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddles, WebEx or GoTo Meeting; it can record without a bot at all through a desktop application for Apple Silicon Macs; or it can record an in-person conversation straight from your device when there is no video link to paste.
Real-time work is metered in Live AI Credits. One credit buys a minute in CORE mode, or two minutes in Connected mode when first-party integrations are switched on. Storage and background transcription consume nothing. Users can also build custom agents, giving each one instructions, tools such as web search or connector access, triggers, and a handle to @mention in chat.
Simplora states that it honours the permissions of the systems it connects to: material a user cannot already reach is not surfaced to them. The publisher is Simplora, Inc., a company governed by Delaware law, and the product is aimed at founders, freelancers, consultants and executives whose work runs through conversations.

GDPR overview
There is no GDPR implementation, and Simplora says so plainly. Clause 16 of the terms states that the service is not intended for people located in the European Union or European Economic Area, that Simplora does not represent compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and that anyone accessing it from the EU or becoming an EU resident must discontinue use immediately. The privacy policy repeats the point: the services are hosted and operated in the United States and no GDPR compliance is claimed. No Article 27 representative is designated, no data processing agreement is offered and no subprocessor list is published. What does exist is a California notice covering CCPA and CPRA rights, plus access, correction and deletion rights exercised through help@simplora.ai. Simplora says it may open the service to the EU later, with notice.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service you keep ownership of everything you submit: recordings, transcripts, uploaded files and pasted text, collectively called User Content. Simplora, Inc. takes a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, analyse, transmit and transform that content, but solely to provide, maintain, secure and improve the service. You must warrant that you hold the rights and consents needed for whatever you submit. The privacy policy adds that Simplora neither rents nor sells personal information, and shares it only with service providers such as cloud hosts, transcription and AI model vendors, Stripe for payments, and analytics tools.
Reuse rights
You may reuse your own material freely. Ownership of User Content stays with you, and nothing in the terms restricts what you do with your recordings, transcripts, notes or the outputs generated from them; no permission and no fee is required. Two limits apply. First, outputs come from non-deterministic AI systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, so the terms put the burden of verification on you and state that nothing amounts to professional advice. Second, the platform itself stays Simplora's property: you may not resell the service, reverse engineer it, circumvent usage limits or use it to develop a competing product, and any feedback you send may be used without restriction or compensation.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Simplora states in its privacy policy that the services are hosted and operated in the United States. Anyone using the product from elsewhere is told that their information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from their own, and that using the service constitutes consent to that transfer. No alternative region is offered, and the company names no hosting country other than the United States. Processing is shared with categories of providers rather than named companies: cloud infrastructure and storage, transcription and AI model vendors, payment processing including Stripe, and analytics and monitoring services. No subprocessor list is published. On security, the policy claims encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication with role-based access controls, continuous monitoring and logging, and regular security reviews, while noting that no system is completely secure. No independent certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is mentioned anywhere on the site.

Setup is straightforward and needs no technical skill. You create an account with an email address or a Google sign-in, set up a workspace, then connect a calendar so meetings can be joined automatically and briefs prepared. Participants install nothing. Integrations are connected through each provider's own flow, which means a Google or Microsoft sign-in for some and an API key for others. The only download is the optional Mac desktop application for bot-free recording, which the company says takes under a minute. There is no server deployment and no advanced configuration.

Simplora is a young and unusually complete attempt at the meeting-assistant problem. Where most tools stop at the transcript, it covers preparation, live assistance, structured follow-up and a memory that carries context from one conversation to the next. The platform coverage is genuinely broad, the free plan is generous by the standards of the category, and metering real-time work in credits while leaving storage and transcription free is a fairer arrangement than charging by meeting length.
The reservations are substantial and mostly legal rather than functional. The terms of service exclude the European Union and the European Economic Area outright and state that no GDPR compliance is claimed, which puts the product out of reach for European buyers and for anyone with European staff or customers. There is no data processing agreement, no published list of subprocessors, no security certification, and no postal address anywhere on the site. Responsibility for telling participants they are being recorded, and for collecting their consent, rests entirely with the user.
