SITE123
SITE123 is an Israeli website platform whose AI App Builder turns a written prompt or a template into a working site in minutes, then lets you refine it by chat. A permanent free plan is included.
What is SITE123?
SITE123 is a website creation platform published by SITE123 LTD, an Israeli company incorporated on 28 November 2006 and registered with the national companies registry under number 513898650. Its original argument was to avoid drag and drop altogether: instead of a blank canvas it hands users pre-designed layouts and structures, so the work becomes content rather than design.
Layered on top of that is the AI App Builder, now the headline of the homepage. Creation starts in one of two tabs. Choose Template offers ready-made starting points filtered by Websites, Landing Pages, Online Store or Blog. Free Text takes a site name of up to 100 characters and a written description of what should be built. A reference image or file can be attached to either. Clicking Start hands the request to the AI, which reports its steps in the chat panel — thinking about the request, reading the existing code, writing the code, improving the design — and typically returns a working preview in one to two minutes, with a summary and suggested follow-up prompts.
The editor then combines AI Chat, Preview, Pages & Devices, Data Management and Publish. Changes can be requested conversationally, aimed at one selected area through Visual Edit, or typed by hand through Direct Edit. A Planner mode lets users agree a change with the AI before it writes a single line of code, and the underlying model can be switched, at a credit cost that varies by model. Admin tools cover validation, logs, debugging, linting, editing source files and copying the site to a local environment.
AI usage is metered in credits: Plan Credits reset each billing cycle, Bonus Credits are permanent. Around this sit the non-AI modules — online store, blog, forum, appointment booking, restaurant reservations, event ticketing, custom forms, galleries, email marketing, online courses and donations — plus hosting, SSL, a global CDN and around 45 third-party integrations. The marketing site itself is published in 68 locales.
What it does
- Generate a complete website from a plain-text prompt or from a ready-made template
- Edit any part of the site by chatting with the AI: text, images, colours, fonts, sections and layout
- Target a single area with Visual Edit, or type the change yourself with Direct Edit
- Preview on desktop, tablet and mobile, then publish the changes in one click
- Roll back to an earlier version of the site with Restore
- Sell online through products, payment gateways, a POS, payment links and automatic invoices
- Connect a custom domain and mailboxes, set SEO, and plug in third-party analytics
When to use SITE123 / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if SITE123 is the right fit.
When to use SITE123
- Small business owners and local traders who need a professional site online quickly, without hiring a developer
- Freelancers, consultants and creatives building a portfolio, a photography site or a personal brand page
- Restaurants, event organisers and venues that need bookings, table reservations or ticket sales built in
- Coaches, tutors and therapists who sell appointments or online courses and want scheduling on the same site
- Anyone with no coding or design skills who would rather describe a site in plain words than drag blocks around
When not to use SITE123
- Developers who need a public API, since SITE123 documents none
- Teams that require portability, as the site cannot be exported or downloaded from this proprietary service
- Organisations needing a signed DPA, a named subprocessor list or an EU Article 27 representative
- Buyers who want a firm published price before signing up, as the Premium tiers are never costed on the site
- Users wanting a native mobile app to manage their site, which is offered on neither the App Store nor Google Play

Pros & Cons
Pros
- A permanent free plan with hosting included and no credit card required
- A complete site generated from a single written prompt in one to two minutes
- Three complementary editing modes: AI chat, targeted Visual Edit and manual Direct Edit
- Planner mode lets you settle a change with the AI before any code is written, and versions can be restored
- Unusually broad coverage for a builder: store, bookings, ticketing, courses, donations and forum in one product
- 45 documented third-party integrations, and a site published in 68 locales
- An established publisher, registered in Israel since 2006, with live support advertised around the clock
Cons
- No Premium price is shown anywhere: the pricing card is an empty AJAX container and the amount depends on your location
- The only two published figures contradict each other, at 12.8 and 10.8 US dollars per month on two pages of the same site
- The four named packages — Basic, Advanced, Professional and Gold — are never costed
- AI Credits expire at the end of each cycle, never roll over, and are charged even when the output is rejected or deleted
- No export: the site cannot be downloaded, as SITE123 is a proprietary web service
- No public API and no native mobile app
- No DPA, no named subprocessor list, no Article 27 representative, and GDPR compliance of the site you build is expressly excluded
Pricing & Plans
A permanent free plan is available at no cost, providing 250 MB of storage, 250 MB of bandwidth and a SITE123 subdomain, with no credit card required. The paid tier is another matter: the pricing table names a Premium plan but publishes no amount for it, the figure being loaded dynamically and varying by country. The lowest price stated anywhere on the site is 10.80 USD per month, quoted in the pricing FAQ as the entry point for connecting a custom domain on an annual plan paid up front — not a plain monthly rate. The homepage FAQ gives 12.80 USD per month for the same thing. Premium plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, and there is no free trial.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how SITE123 handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is partial, and compliance is never claimed outright. The privacy policy, effective 17 August 2025, grants data subject rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection to direct marketing — subject to applicable law, including Israel's Amendment 13 to the Privacy Protection Law and the GDPR. A Data Protection Officer is designated and reachable at privacy@site123.com; requests are answered after identity verification, and are redirected to the customer wherever SITE123 only acts as processor. Beyond that, no page states that SITE123 is GDPR compliant, and no EU representative under Article 27 is named. The only other mention of the regulation is a disclaimer in the terms: the design and construction of a customer's website expressly do not include GDPR or CCPA compliance, which remains solely the site owner's responsibility.
Who owns the data?
SITE123 Ltd. acts as data controller for account holders and for visitors of its own sites. For visitors of customer-built sites the customer is the controller, while SITE123 supplies the infrastructure and may act as processor. Customers keep ownership of their original website content and business data, and the terms state that SITE123 does not claim ownership of the AI Output generated for a user through its AI Tools. Data may be shared with service providers, including artificial intelligence model, generative AI, API and infrastructure vendors, with third-party tools the customer connects, with authorities where the law requires it, and in a merger or change of control. Anonymised, aggregated data may be shared more freely.
Reuse rights
Customers may reuse their own material without asking permission. The terms state that SITE123 does not claim ownership of AI Output generated for the user, and that the customer retains ownership of original website content and business data. In practice, however, reuse stays bound to the platform: SITE123 is described as a proprietary web service and the site itself cannot be downloaded or exported, so anything built there has to be rebuilt to be used elsewhere. Responsibility travels with the right to reuse: the vendor warns that AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or non-compliant, and places the whole burden of reviewing, verifying and adapting it on the user before anything is published or relied upon.

Hosting summary
The privacy policy locates data in Israel and/or abroad, including the EEA and the United States, held either by SITE123 or by its service providers, with safeguards said to ensure a level of protection no lower than Israeli law. That is the whole of the declaration: no datacentre list, no region choice and no residency commitment are offered. Customer sites are served from content distribution network servers spread across the globe, which the company presents as a performance measure rather than a hosting guarantee. The security measures listed are encryption, access controls, monitoring, logical separation and backups, with the usual caveat that absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. Governing law is Israeli, and the privacy policy invokes Amendment 13 to Israel's Privacy Protection Law alongside the GDPR. One observation sits outside the company's own statements: the public IP address of the domain resolves to Amazon infrastructure in Dublin, Ireland. That is a technical fact about the marketing domain, not a declared hosting location for customer data, and should not be read as one.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting SITE123.
- Pricing opacity: no Premium amount is published, the figure is loaded by location, and the two figures that do appear on the site contradict each other
- AI Credits are consumed the moment a request is processed, whether or not you keep, publish or even accept the result
- Credits never roll over, expire at the end of each billing cycle and are not refunded, so unused allowance is simply lost
- AI Credit Packages are billed separately from the website subscription and can stay active and billable unless cancelled in their own right
- Lock-in: the site cannot be exported or downloaded, so leaving the platform means rebuilding from scratch elsewhere
- Over-trusting the output: the vendor itself warns that AI results may be inaccurate, incomplete or non-compliant, and puts the entire burden of review on the user
- Legal exposure: GDPR and CCPA compliance of the site you publish is expressly excluded, local consumer protections are waived, and disputes go to a court in Be'er Sheva
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. No coding or design skill is required, nothing is installed, and hosting comes with the product. Signing up needs no credit card, and the AI produces a first working site from a written description in one to two minutes. The only paid step in getting started is connecting a custom domain. What effort remains is editorial rather than technical: the vendor's own guidance stresses that the result depends on how precisely the prompt describes the pages, content, layout and design wanted, and that vague requests leave the AI guessing.

How do AI Credits work?
Should you pick SITE123?
SITE123 answers a narrow question well: how does someone with no technical skill get a credible site online this week, and at what cost. The AI App Builder takes a written description and returns a working, editable site in a couple of minutes, and the three editing modes — conversational, targeted and manual — mean users are not trapped in the chat when they only want to change one word themselves. The functional range around it is unusually wide for a builder at this level: a store, appointment booking, restaurant reservations, ticketing, courses, donations and a forum all ship in the same product, and the free plan is genuinely permanent rather than a trial in disguise.
The reservations gather in two places. The first is price. The pricing table names a Premium plan and shows no figure for it, and the only two amounts published anywhere on the site disagree with each other. Anyone comparing SITE123 with a rival has to sign up before learning what they would pay. The second is contractual. There is no DPA, no named list of subprocessors and no Article 27 representative; the terms decline responsibility for the GDPR compliance of the sites customers build; local consumer protections are waived and disputes are sent to a court in Be'er Sheva. AI Credits are spent whether or not the output is any good, expire at the end of each cycle and are never refunded.
That balance suits a specific reader. For a sole trader, a restaurant or a creative who needs a working site quickly and can live inside a proprietary platform, SITE123 is a reasonable and inexpensive answer. For a regulated organisation, a team that needs portability, or anyone who wants to know the price before committing, it is not.
