Sivi
Sivi is an AI design platform built on a Large Design Model that turns a text brief into layered, fully editable ads, social posts, banners and ecommerce graphics in 72+ languages, at any dimension.
What is Sivi?
Sivi is an AI-powered design platform published by HelloSivi Software Labs, founded in Bengaluru, India, in May 2019. Its engine is a proprietary Large Design Model, which the publisher positions as a category apart from text-to-image models. Instead of painting pixels into a flat picture, the model composes a design element by element, text, vectors, images and backgrounds, and places each one on its own layer.
The practical consequence is that every output is an editable file rather than a finished image. Text stays real and selectable, vectors stay vectors, and the model is said to guarantee that the words in the output match the words in the brief rather than inventing them. The New York Times, quoted on the site, described Sivi as the only one of roughly 95,000 design-creation apps that produces editable layers.
The formats covered are the ones marketing teams actually ship: display and social ad creatives, website and email banners, thumbnails, social posts, profile covers, podcast artwork and ecommerce graphics including Amazon A+ content. Dimensions are not limited to presets. The model recomposes the layout for each target size rather than stretching or cropping one composition, so a wide leaderboard and a square post receive different visual hierarchies. Generation runs in more than 72 languages, right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew included, with fonts chosen accordingly.
Brand consistency is handled through a brand kit. Colours, font families, logo files, components and spacing rules are uploaded once and applied as hard constraints on every generation. Users write a brief in their own language, or paste a product page URL from which Sivi extracts details, images, colours and typography, then pick Auto Mode or the step-by-step Review Mode and receive up to four variants. Outputs are edited layer by layer in the Design Studio and exported as JPG, PNG, HTML or PDF.
Beyond the web application, Sivi ships a REST API, an embeddable white-label UI SDK and an MCP server for AI agents. Billing runs on credits. Gen-2 is the current generation; Gen-3, with component-based generation and an agentic workflow, is announced for Q2 2026.
What it does
- Generate display, social and retargeting ad creatives for Google, Meta, LinkedIn and other platforms, at any size
- Produce website hero banners, email headers and promotional banners composed for the exact dimensions requested
- Create social posts, profile covers, YouTube thumbnails, Reel covers and podcast artwork
- Localise a whole campaign across more than 72 languages, right-to-left scripts included, without breaking the composition
- Apply a brand kit automatically so colours, fonts, logos and components stay consistent across every output
- Edit any layer after generation and export the result as JPG, PNG, HTML or PDF
- Embed design generation in another product through the REST API, the UI SDK or the MCP server
When to use Sivi / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Sivi is the right fit.
When to use Sivi
- Performance and growth marketers who need a steady stream of ad creatives in every platform size, and who test variations rather than shipping a single hero asset.
- Freelance designers, solo founders and small business owners running their own marketing, who get all output dimensions, custom fonts, private generation and resale rights from the first paid tier.
- Agencies and content studios that lose margin to resizing and localisation work, and can hand the repetitive production to the model while creative direction stays human.
- Ecommerce and marketplace teams producing product banners, category banners and Amazon A+ content at catalogue scale.
- Product and platform engineers embedding design generation in their own application through the REST API, the white-label UI SDK or the MCP server.
When not to use Sivi
- Anyone looking for a general image generator or photo editor: Sivi explicitly declines that category and produces compositions, not pictures or retouching.
- Illustrators, video creators and product designers, whose work falls outside a tool aimed squarely at marketing formats.
- Occasional users with irregular needs, since credits reset every billing cycle and never roll over.
- Privacy-sensitive users on the free tier, whose designs may be added to the public feed and whose data may be used, anonymised, to train the models.
- Developers wanting to evaluate the API at no cost: access starts at the Power plan and the sandbox is a paid one-off.
How to use Sivi
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on the Sivi web application; the free tier requires no credit card.
- Pick an output size, either from the presets for web banners, ads, social posts, profile covers and emails, or by entering a custom dimension.
- Upload a brand kit with logos, colours, fonts and components so that every generation stays on brand.
- Write a brief in your own language describing what you want to promote, or paste a product page URL and let Sivi extract details, images, colours and typography from it.
- Favour a brief that states the offer, the audience and the mood over one that describes visuals, which the publisher reports as the more effective prompt style.
- Ask for brand-specific campaign recommendations if you are unsure what to write.
- Choose Auto Mode to let Sivi handle copy, imagery, size and style, or Review Mode to keep control at each step.
- Check the credit cost, which is displayed before every action, then generate up to four variants at once.
- Open the result in the Design Studio, edit any text block, image or vector layer, and export as JPG, PNG, HTML or PDF.
- For an integration, obtain an API key, POST a request, collect the returned designId by polling or webhook, then call the export endpoint; an MCP server is available for agent workflows.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Output is genuinely editable layer by layer, which is the difference between an asset that ships and an image that needs reworking
- Text is real and matches the brief, avoiding the garbled lettering typical of image generators
- Layouts are recomposed per dimension, so a campaign holds up across formats instead of being distorted
- More than 72 languages with right-to-left support, where most image models are English-centric
- Brand kits are enforced automatically, preventing brand drift across large volumes
- A permanent free plan with no credit card, credit costs shown before each action, and automatic refunds on failed generations
- Three integration paths rather than one, and no training on paying customers' data
Cons
- No postal address is published anywhere on the site, and no subprocessor list is disclosed
- Free-tier data may be used for model training after anonymisation, and free-tier designs may appear in the public feed
- No training opt-out mechanism exists: exclusion is obtained by moving to a paid plan, not by a setting
- Credits reset each billing cycle and never roll over, which penalises irregular usage
- API access starts only at the Power plan, and the developer sandbox is a paid one-off rather than a free trial
- The headline price assumes an annual commitment; the month-to-month rate is a quarter higher
- No Article 27 EU representative is designated even though GDPR compliance is claimed, and the legal documents still refer to a former brand and domain
Pricing & Plans

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Sivi handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy carries a dedicated section covering the GDPR and the CCPA for users in the European Economic Area and California. It states the legal bases relied on: performance of the contract, legitimate interest for research and marketing, consent, and legal obligation. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by email or from account settings, and a right to object is granted where legitimate interest applies, with the caveat that continued use of the service may then become impossible. Access, correction, deletion and restriction requests go to support@sivi.ai, and breaches are notified by email. The pricing page also displays a GDPR-compliant badge. Two gaps are worth noting: no Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer are named, and governing law is Indian with exclusive jurisdiction in Bengaluru.
Who owns the data?
Users keep ownership of what they upload and are solely responsible for it. Designs generated with Sivi may be used for both personal and commercial projects, but redistribution of those designs is only supported on certain subscription plans, so resale rights depend on the tier subscribed to. The service itself is granted under a limited, commercial, non-exclusive licence that does not extend to reselling the platform. Where user content is contributed under a brand, the brand owner carries responsibility for it. On the API side, brand assets and generated designs are isolated per account. Ownership of API-generated designs is addressed in the developer FAQ.
Reuse rights
Generated designs can be reused without asking permission for personal and commercial purposes alike, which covers the ordinary marketing use case: running the creative as an ad, publishing it on social channels, placing it on a website or in an email. The one restriction the publisher applies is redistribution, that is, passing the designs on to third parties as deliverables or stock: this is only supported on certain subscription plans, and the resale right appears from the first paid tier upward rather than on the free plan. Anyone selling client work should therefore check what their own plan allows before delivering. Uploaded material remains the user's responsibility, and the publisher advises reviewing AI-generated output before any commercial use.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The publisher states that the service is hosted on Google Cloud and has published a customer story with that provider, but names no hosting country and no hosting region. Data residency is described as a custom option available on Enterprise plans, which means it is negotiated rather than disclosed. The privacy policy explicitly anticipates cross-border transfers, stating that user data may be stored or processed outside the user's own country with what it calls adequate safeguards for international transfers. On the API side, data is described as encrypted in transit and at rest, with brand assets and generated designs isolated per account. Third parties are used for hosting, analytics and payment processing and are said to be contractually bound to protect user data, but none of them is named and no subprocessor list is published. The site's own domain resolves to a United States address on an anycast content delivery node, which reflects where the marketing site is served and not where application data is processed. Governing law is Indian, with exclusive jurisdiction in Bengaluru.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Sivi.
- On the free tier, your designs may be added to the public feed and your data may be used, after anonymisation, to train the models; there is no opt-out setting, and the only route to exclusion is a paid plan.
- Redistribution rights depend on the subscription tier, so anyone delivering designs to clients should confirm what their plan permits before invoicing the work.
- The publisher does not disclose a postal address, a subprocessor list, or any hosting country or region, which limits what a buyer can assess before committing sensitive brand assets.
- The advertised 16 USD entry price assumes an annual commitment; the month-to-month rate is 20 USD, and unused credits are wiped at each billing cycle.
- The publisher warns that some designs may render symbols instead of text in certain languages, and that offensive or biased output can occasionally be generated, so human review before publication remains necessary.
- Handing composition, copywriting and art direction to a model at high volume can erode a team's own design judgement over time, and makes creative output progressively harder to differentiate from competitors using the same engine.
- The site advises against putting sensitive information or assets into prompts, and disclaims liability for indirect losses in the event of a data breach.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low for end users. Everything runs in the browser, no software is installed, the free tier needs no credit card, and the publisher advertises a first generation in under a minute. The only preparatory step worth taking is uploading a brand kit once. For developers the effort is moderate but conventional: obtain an API key, POST a request, retrieve the returned designId by polling or webhook, then call the export endpoint. A brand kit can be attached to the API key so no per-request configuration is needed, and the publisher reports most teams moving from sandbox to production within a week.

Should you pick Sivi?
Sivi occupies a narrow but genuinely distinct position. Where most generative tools return a flat image and most template tools return a filled-in layout, Sivi returns a composition whose every element remains editable, and that single property is what makes its output usable as a marketing asset without rework. The claim is not merely the publisher's own: it is echoed by an outside quotation from The New York Times, and supported by concrete design decisions such as recomposing the layout for each target dimension instead of rescaling one, and treating a brand kit as a hard constraint rather than a suggestion.
The tool suits marketers, agencies, ecommerce teams and small businesses that ship creative continuously and lose time to resizing and localisation. Multilingual coverage, including right-to-left scripts, is a real differentiator against English-centric image models. Developers get three integration routes rather than one, which is unusual at this price level.
The reservations are mostly about transparency and tier boundaries. No postal address appears anywhere on the site, no subprocessor list is published, and no Article 27 EU representative is named despite a clear GDPR claim; the legal documents also still carry the publisher's former brand and domain. Free-tier users should understand that their data may feed model training after anonymisation and that their designs may surface in the public feed, with the only route to exclusion being a paid plan rather than a setting. The advertised entry price assumes an annual commitment, credits do not roll over, and API access begins only at the Power tier.
For anyone producing on-brand marketing visuals at volume, the free plan is a fair way to test the central claim at no cost. Paying customers get a firmer data position; free users should read the privacy terms first.
