Sloped

Sloped turns data APIs into a plain-text search bar: type a question, get a chart back. It ships connectors for Google Analytics, Stripe and Typeform, plus shareable dashboards. Access was request-only, and the service now appears dormant.

Overview

What is Sloped?

Sloped is a web application that turns data APIs into something you can search in ordinary language. Its own framing is "Transform APIs into Searchable Data Sources", and its central argument is blunter still: stop writing API queries. You connect a data source, type a question the way you would say it out loud, and Sloped returns a chart rather than a payload.

Three connectors are actually wired into the product: Google Analytics, Stripe and Typeform. Intercom is displayed among the integrations on the home page, though the application holds no Intercom credential field. Beyond those, Sloped advertises support for custom APIs, so the search bar is not meant to be limited to its built-in list.

Under the surface the product is a Next.js application served from Vercel. Sign-in is passwordless, by magic link. Each account stores the credentials for its own sources: a Stripe key, a Typeform key and form ID, a Google authorisation token and a Google Analytics property ID. When a question is typed, it is sent to a language-model endpoint that decides which connector answers it, and the connector is then called with the stored keys. Results land on a dashboard where they can be refreshed, exported as an image, or turned into a shareable link.

The product changed shape once. In December 2022 it launched as "Generate Charts With AI" behind a waitlist; by mid-2023 it had been repositioned around natural-language search over APIs, with a Request Access form in place of open sign-up. It never opened to free registration.

Sloped Inc is a Delaware company. The site has been frozen since June 2023: the same build, a copyright fixed at 2023, a privacy policy last touched in April 2023. More decisively, as of August 2026 the authentication backend the current code points at no longer resolves in DNS. The marketing pages still answer, but signing in cannot succeed. No closure was ever announced.

What it does

  • Answer a plain-text question about your data with an automatically generated chart
  • Query Google Analytics, Stripe and Typeform through one search bar
  • Point the same search bar at a custom API of your own
  • Collect results into a dashboard
  • Copy a shareable link to a result and send it to someone outside the tool
  • Export a chart as an image
  • Refresh a result against the live source

When to use Sloped / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Sloped is the right fit.

When to use Sloped

  • Small teams with no dedicated analyst who still need answers out of Google Analytics, Stripe or Typeform
  • Non-technical operators who want numbers without writing SQL or hand-rolling API calls
  • Founders and growth leads who need a chart fast and want to hand it to someone else as a link
  • Product and marketing people running ad hoc exploration rather than governed recurring reporting
  • Developers willing to point a custom API at a search bar instead of building a reporting front end

When not to use Sloped

  • Anyone who needs a working service today: the sign-in backend no longer resolves, so accounts cannot be reached
  • Organisations with a GDPR obligation, since the site states no compliance, offers no DPA and names no subprocessors
  • Regulated or security-reviewed environments looking for SOC 2, ISO 27001 or a declared hosting jurisdiction
  • Teams that need mobile apps, a public API or self-hosting, none of which exist here
  • Buyers who must budget in advance, as no price is published anywhere on the site
Get started

How to use Sloped

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Request access from the home page, which opens a short external form; there is no open sign-up
  2. Wait to be granted an account, then go to the login page
  3. Enter your email and receive a magic link; there is no password to set
  4. Open the connections screen to register your data sources
  5. Paste a Stripe API key, a Typeform key and form ID, and authorise Google plus a Google Analytics property ID
  6. Expect a free-role account to be redirected to a Stripe payment link before connections become usable
  7. Go to the dashboard and type your question in plain text in the search bar
  8. Read the generated chart, and refresh it if you need current figures
  9. Export the chart as an image, or copy a shareable link to hand it to someone else
  10. Manage or cancel the subscription from the Options menu, which opens the Stripe customer portal

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • A genuinely simple promise: one question in plain text, one chart out
  • Removes API query writing for people who would otherwise have to ask an engineer
  • Covers three sources that small teams almost always already run
  • Results are immediately shareable, by link or as an exported image
  • Custom API support means the tool is not boxed in by its three connectors
  • Passwordless sign-in, with nothing to provision or remember
  • Minimum age and a data deletion route are at least stated explicitly

Cons

  • The product appears abandoned: its authentication backend has disappeared and the site has not changed since June 2023
  • No price is published anywhere; the amount only becomes visible once you reach the payment page
  • Access is gated behind a request form, so you cannot simply try it
  • No GDPR framework, no DPA, no subprocessor list and no declared hosting country
  • No security certification of any kind is claimed
  • No documentation, no product page, no FAQ and no contact page: a single email address, buried in the privacy policy
  • You must hand over sensitive third-party API keys to a service whose policy never describes how they are handled
Pricing

Pricing & Plans

No price is published. The site has no pricing page, and the corresponding path returns a genuine 404. A paid subscription nevertheless exists: the application redirects free-role accounts to a Stripe payment link, and offers an "Update Subscription" entry that opens the Stripe customer portal. The amount, currency, billing period and any tiers could not be established, because the payment page is rendered entirely in JavaScript and exposes no figure. No free trial, refund policy or promotional offer is announced. This is therefore a priced service with no public price point.

Prices and plans listed above may evolve. Always check the official pricing page before subscribing.

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Sloped handles your data.

GDPR overview

There is no GDPR implementation whatsoever. The site contains not a single mention of the GDPR, of "General Data Protection" or of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, checked across every page and its underlying markup. No lawful basis is stated, no data subject rights are enumerated under the Regulation, no Article 27 representative is designated and no Data Protection Officer is named. There is no Data Processing Agreement, published or on request, and no subprocessor list. The only rights offered are deletion and correction from account settings or by email. The privacy policy was produced with a free generator in a variant carrying no GDPR module, and has not been revised since April 2023. Note that the site does not deny compliance either: it simply never raises the subject.

Who owns the data?

The privacy policy contains no clause about ownership of customer data. It only addresses the user's personal data, namely an email address, usage data and cookies. Sloped Inc states that it may share that information with service providers, affiliates, business partners, other users in public areas, and any acquirer in a merger or asset sale. Users may delete or amend their data from account settings or by writing to the company, subject to legal retention. Nothing is said about the business data pulled from Google Analytics, Stripe or Typeform, even though the application stores the third-party API keys needed to reach it. Google-derived data is covered by the Google API Services User Data Policy, Limited Use requirements included.

Reuse rights

The documents do not grant, restrict or even discuss any right for the end user to reuse the data that Sloped displays. Because the tool queries sources the customer already owns and has connected with their own credentials, the underlying data stays governed by those source platforms rather than by Sloped. On its own side, the company reserves broad internal use: providing and maintaining the service, account management, contract performance, contacting users, news and offers, usage analysis and service improvement. Marketing messages carry an opt-out. Cross-border transfers are permitted, with consent deemed given by the act of submitting information. Crucially, the policy never states whether customer data is used to train AI models, in either direction.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Data is kept for as long as the stated purposes require, with no figure given in days or months anywhere in the policy. Retention may run longer to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Usage data is generally kept for a shorter period, unless it serves security, service improvement or a legal duty. Users can delete or amend their information from account settings, or ask the company to do it, though it reserves the right to keep certain records where it has a legal obligation or other lawful basis. There is no zero-retention option and no commitment to erase everything on cancellation. Anonymisation is never mentioned.

Hosting summary

No hosting country or region is declared anywhere on the site. The privacy policy says only that information is processed at the company's operating offices and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located, and that data may be transferred outside the user's own jurisdiction, with consent deemed given by submitting it. No country is listed and no safeguard is described beyond a general promise of reasonable steps. The governing jurisdiction is stated: the company is Sloped Inc, and the policy names Delaware, United States as its country. Two technical facts are observable but never declared by the publisher: the site is served from Vercel infrastructure resolving to a United States anycast address, and account data sits on a hosted database platform. Neither is an official hosting statement, and neither should be read as one. In short, treat the hosting jurisdiction as undisclosed, with the United States as the only stated legal home.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Sloped.

  • The service is very probably shut down: the authentication project the current code points at has no DNS record as of 25 August 2026, so the magic link cannot work, yet no closure has ever been announced and the marketing site still returns a normal page
  • The site is frozen: the same build since June 2023, a copyright stuck at 2023, and a privacy policy untouched since April 2023 — nothing on the page tells a visitor any of this
  • Using the tool means handing over high-privilege third-party API keys, a Stripe key, a Typeform key and a Google token, to a service whose policy describes neither their handling nor their encryption
  • Your questions transit through an undisclosed third-party language-model service, which the privacy policy never names
  • No price is public, so you only discover the amount once you have already reached a payment page
  • A European user will find no lawful basis, no rights and no processing agreement in a policy generated by a free tool without a GDPR module
  • Charts generated from a question you did not phrase precisely can look authoritative while answering something slightly different — read the axis and the period before acting on a number
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

The interface is simple, but the setup is not. Before asking a single question you must supply a Stripe API key, a Typeform key and form ID, and a Google authorisation plus an Analytics property ID. Obtaining those means holding administrator rights on each source account and knowing where the credentials live. No documentation or setup guide is published to help. Access must also be requested in advance, so nothing starts immediately, and the advertised custom API route assumes a developer. Easy to use, distinctly technical to switch on.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Sloped actually do?
It turns a data API into a search bar. You type a question in ordinary language and Sloped returns a generated chart, instead of making you write an API query or a SQL statement.
Which data sources can I connect?
Google Analytics, Stripe and Typeform are the connectors genuinely wired into the application. Intercom is shown among the integrations on the home page, and support for custom APIs is advertised as the route for anything else.
How do I get an account?
Through the Request Access button on the home page, which opens an external form. There is no open sign-up: you cannot create an account yourself.
How does signing in work?
By magic link. You enter your email address and receive a sign-in link, with no password to create or store.
How much does Sloped cost?
No amount is published anywhere on the site. A paid subscription does exist, since the application sends free-role accounts to a Stripe payment link and offers an Update Subscription entry into the Stripe customer portal, but the figure is not public.
Is there a free plan?
No permanent free plan is announced. The application does carry a free role, but that role is redirected to the payment page as soon as it tries to reach the connections screen.
Can I share a result with someone else?
Yes. Any result can be exported as an image, or turned into a shareable link that is copied to your clipboard.
Is there an API or a mobile app?
Neither. Sloped is a web application only. It publishes no API documentation, sells no API access, and has no iOS or Android app.
Is Sloped GDPR compliant?
The site never addresses the question. There is no mention of the GDPR, no Data Processing Agreement, no subprocessor list and no Article 27 representative. It does not claim compliance, but neither does it deny it.
Is the service still running?
Apparently not. As of 25 August 2026 the marketing pages still respond, but the authentication backend the current code relies on no longer resolves in DNS, so signing in cannot succeed. No closure has been announced.
Conclusion

Should you pick Sloped?

Sloped had a sound and well-scoped idea. Plain-text search over the APIs a small company already runs, answered with a chart rather than a payload, is exactly the gap between a team that owns its data and a team that can actually read it. The execution stayed thin. Three wired connectors, no documentation, no product page, no published pricing, and an access request standing between a visitor and any first-hand look at the tool.

The contractual side is weaker still. The privacy policy came out of a free generator, has not been revised since April 2023, and carries no GDPR module at all: no lawful basis, no enumerated rights, no processing agreement, no subprocessor list, no stated hosting country. That matters more than usual here, because using Sloped means handing it live API keys to Stripe, Typeform and Google Analytics, and the document never says how those credentials are handled. The language model that interprets each query is not disclosed either.

The decisive signal is operational rather than editorial. The site has not changed since June 2023, its copyright is frozen at 2023, and as of August 2026 the authentication backend the current code points at no longer resolves in DNS. The marketing pages still answer, so the tool looks alive from the outside, but nobody can sign in. No shutdown was ever announced and the domain is paid up into late 2026, which is precisely what makes the situation misleading.

The practical verdict follows on its own: treat Sloped as a dormant product. Do not commit data, and above all do not issue third-party API keys to it, without first confirming that the service answers. Anyone who still holds an account there should rotate the Stripe, Typeform and Google credentials they once handed over.
