What is VIXSOUND?
VIXSOUND is an AI assistant that lives beside Ableton Live and drives the DAW from a chat panel. It is a native desktop application, signed and notarised, for macOS 12 or later (a stable Apple Silicon build and a beta Intel build) and for Windows 10 and 11 in 64-bit, where the build is still in public beta. Once installed, it opens a local bridge to Ableton Live 11 or Live 12, Standard or Suite; Live Lite is not supported. You type, or speak into the microphone, the sort of instruction you would give a co-producer, and the assistant carries it out on the session that is already open. Ask for a deep house intro at 122 BPM in C minor and it writes the kick, hats, bass and chord parts, pulls matching instruments out of your own Ableton library and lays down eight bars. Ask it to sidechain the bass to the kick at 4 dB with a 60 ms release and it inserts the Compressor, wires the sidechain input and dials the threshold. Everything lands as an ordinary Live clip or device that you can reshape by hand. The decisive difference with browser-based music generators is the output: VIXSOUND writes editable MIDI, not a finished audio file. Your own instruments and plugins produce the sound, which is why the company states that the result belongs entirely to you, with no royalty and no attribution. Three of the heaviest jobs run on your own machine and never touch a server: stem separation with Demucs, tempo and key detection with Librosa, and polyphonic audio-to-MIDI transcription. Only the chat itself reaches a hosted Claude proxy, which uses Sonnet 4.6 in the default Light mode and Sonnet 5 in Pro mode. The assistant answers in whatever language you write or speak, and voice commands leave your hands free for the keyboard or controller. Usage is metered in credits, and a typical song-building prompt consumes roughly 35 to 40 of them. VIXSOUND is published by Vesta Creative Innovations LLC in the United States and is not affiliated with Ableton AG.

GDPR overview
The privacy policy, last updated on 30 August 2026, engages with the GDPR concretely rather than in passing. It sets out legal bases under Article 6 for users in the EEA and the United Kingdom: performance of the contract for the service itself, consent for website analytics and cookies, and legitimate interest for security and diagnostics. It lists access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, restriction and withdrawal of consent, exercisable at hello@vixsound.com with a thirty-day response commitment. Transfers to the United States rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or on providers' Data Privacy Framework certification. Cookies load only after consent. Two gaps remain: no EU representative is designated under Article 27, and no data processing agreement is published or offered.
Who owns the data?
The terms are unambiguous on the split. You keep full and exclusive ownership of every piece of music, audio, MIDI and creative content you produce with VIXSOUND, on every tier and during the free trial; the publisher claims no right or interest in that output, and you may release, license, sell or otherwise exploit it commercially without royalty or attribution. The software, the website and the surrounding intellectual property remain the property of Vesta Creative Innovations LLC, which grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence for the duration of your subscription. Your audio files, stems and DAW projects are never uploaded to the company's servers.
Reuse rights
Nothing in the terms requires you to ask permission before reusing what you make. The publisher states that you are free to use, distribute, release, sell and license your output without restriction: streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, synchronisation for film, television, games and advertising, or beat sales are all explicitly allowed, with no royalty owed and no credit required. The company grounds that position in the nature of the output — the AI writes MIDI, meaning musical instructions, while your own instruments and plugins render the final sound, which it argues makes your authorship unambiguous. Ownership survives cancellation of the subscription.

VIXSOUND is operated from the United States by Vesta Creative Innovations LLC, and the infrastructure sits with American providers: Vercel for the website and API, Supabase for authentication and the account database, Resend for transactional email, Stripe for payments and Anthropic for the AI itself. The domain resolves to an anycast address geolocated in the United States. Users in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland are told their data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or wherever those providers operate, under Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, Data Privacy Framework certification where applicable, or another lawful mechanism. No European hosting region is offered. The decisive point for producers is that the heavy material never travels: audio files, stems and DAW project files stay on the local machine, and conversation history is stored on the device unless a reply is rated or a support report is sent.

Against the free MCP connectors that wire Claude Desktop to Ableton through a Python remote script and a hand-edited JSON file, the argument is a signed application you install in one click, with local stem separation, key and tempo detection and audio-to-MIDI bundled in. The privacy posture is unusually concrete for a young product: audio, stems and project files never leave the machine, unrated conversations are not stored on the company's servers, and the policy states plainly that customer data is never used to train models. The counterweight is the publisher itself.
